My voice lacks the upper harmonic, causing me to have a natural Cher-like voice. There is a silkiness, a rich lower register that brings contemporary soul and ballads to life, adds the sublime to jazz standards, and can add a unique dimension that lets your song proudly stand out. *"Volcanic! Adele-meets-Aretha" -Albuqurque Journal

If I am off-tour, I can record and turn-around in 24-hours for appropriate tracks (please have your work in order if you expect fast turn-around; lyric sheets, charts, scores, and click tracks ready to go.) However, I tour most of the year and require proper lead time for most projects. Please inquire for availability, and state your deadline.

Unlimited drafts are provided, where either party may cancel at anytime if the project doesn't seem like a good fit. Once the details are worked out, and the vocal performance is approved, I provide two final takes in my initial charge. Additional corrections, takes, or recordings incur an additional charge (dependent on the project, but usually $50.)

To ensure your project is produced at the highest quality possible, please keep your vocal components between D2 through A4, while avoiding my vocal break between G#3 and C4. This range is not inflexible, but represents my most comfortable placement for the vast majority of styles.

There are several high-end studios in town that work with me on projects. If you would like to upgrade your services, rent or use any of the "classic" microphones in your project, we can rent whichever space you see fit. Their fees vary, but average between $75 - $150 per hour.

Send me a note through the contact button above.

Incredible voice, and a true professional!!

I`m so glad I contacted Delphia and I feel I got a lot more than I bargained fore as she put on several tracks of vocal and chorus for me.

    Delphia is amazing!
What a tone, what a pro!
She was really responsive and pushed it to the limit to get the job done in time - that's a great issue in advertising!
Her voice is really something special, deep and simply beautiful!
I'll definitelly work with her again if I have the chance!

In a world of so much contrived music Delphia is the real deal. An incredibly accomplished musician with an astonishingly beautiful voice that instantly captivates the listener. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Interview with Delphia

  1. Q: How would you describe your style?

  2. A: 'authentic soul revival'

  3. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  4. A: Mid-Side mic everything in a church. Even if you are close micing a piano in stereo, mid-side mic it at five feet away. That is the simplest and easiest way to have full control of the sound of your recordings, and pick up the beautiful reverb that gorgeous spaces are known for.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: Soul, Blues, Adult Contemporary, and in the past I wrote almost exclusively rock, country, and Americana.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: I am pitch perfect and produce almost super-human consistent results. If I line up the same song I performed in two different shows, almost without exception I can overlay the vocals and be so close it sounds almost like a duet.

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: I have an 8' x 10' isolation booth built in to my personal studio. Inside the booth, I have a Yamaha upright piano, a wall of guitars, mandolins, violins, violas, and basses hanging from the walls. I record predominately on a Kurzweil keyboard. I have a mobile computer rack with three MOTU 2408mkIII interface units, Focusrite liquid channel preamp, 24 additional MIDAS preamps, and a microphone locker ranging from two tube condensers (2x Avantone BV-1), ribbon (AT4080), three matching Oktava 319s, a drum kit including Rodes, sE Electronics, and standard Shures. In addition with enough lead time, I have full access to a studio environment with a Baldwin Baby Grand piano.

  11. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  12. A: Clients are immediately drawn to my voice, which is ironic, as I am highly critical of my voice, and always thought of my songwriting as being my strong point.
