I'm Livio Boccioni, a professional musician and producer. I have been working in the music industry since 1996. I'm the owner of The Convent Recording Studio a facility located in a medieval palace in the Marcheshire (central Italy)
I'm producer, musician, guitar player and I do remote mixing & mastering services.
Thanks to a partnership with a country house in the area I can accommodate clients for location recording and for writing sessions on a beautiful landscape.
I speak English, French and Italian.

Endorse Livio BoccioniLivio is a skilled and reliable professional and it was a real pleasure to work with him. He mixed the tracks of the new album of my band and the result was absolutely amazing. Hope to collaborate also in the future.
Highly recommended!I’m really impressed with the service provided. He really knows what he's doing!
Mr Livio, as a music producer, proves to possess great professionalism and competence and the cost of its services is very competitive. I have always appreciated his musical versatility: he is able to manage with particular dexterity different musical genres.“The Convent Studio” is the perfect size for any artist in an environment on a human scale.
This guy is absolutely a genius!!
I had the huge pleasure and opportunity to work with him uncountable times, and every single time he showed me the truest meaning of EXELLENCE, Amazing KNOWLEDGE, and PROFESSIONALISM.

Interview with Livio Boccioni
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A Stratocaster, a Vox AC30, a guitar cable, a pick and a solar panel to power!! ;))
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: One of the best thing is that there is not a common type of work. There are so many variables so every job is different from the other. Different genres, different approaches, different tasks... I'll do always my best and I assure that if a job is not for me I will have the intellectual honesty to refuse it.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: In September 2015 I started working in my new studio and I worked a lot. Every single job is important for me. Among others I have participated in two big productions for multiplatinum italian artist. The first is Emma Marrone, for her I mixed some tracks, the second is Rocco Hunt, for her I recorded guitar parts.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A really nice production for an italian indie band. I'm producing them. The band is called Ivan Drago, with Ivan Tresoldi an international polyhedral artist.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: In my opinion the most difficult thing is to listen to our own music without a iper-critical attitude. Try to listen to your productions with the same mental approach that you have when you are listening to someone's else music. Try to enjoy and not to look with magnifying glass!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: It depends on the customer’s request. I’m an audio engineer but primarily I’m a musician so if the customer wants I can help in everything related to musical taste, composition and arrangement.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I own The Convent Recording Studio, in The Marcheshire, in the central Italy, near Tuscany. The facility is located in an ancient building which dates back to the Middle Ages. There is a control room, one main recording room and two little recording booths. I own a lot of recording equipment, mainly digital but with some great analog stuff. A great importance has been given to the acoustic treatment, a crucial element.
