I've toured with my band, performed at Coachella with Miike Snow, and my songs have been featured in trailers, film, and TV. I'm a singer-songwriter with depth and soul and I specialize in helping you bring your vision to life!
Whether you need an original song for a movie or lyrics to sing at your daughter's quinceañera, I'm into it. My style is poetic, metaphorical, and limber. Dark, moody, uplifting, ethereal. I tap into and channel what you're trying to say...and then some! I love music that's full of conviction...artists that pull you into their world or relate to you in yours.
Faves: Cat Stevens, George Michael, Radiohead, Portishead, Peter Gabriel, Orville Peck, Nancy & Lee, Waylon, Blaze, NIN, Duran Duran, Madonna, FKA twigs, Grizzly Bear, Moses Sumney, October's Child ;) Angel Olsen, Talk Talk, and ...
I often record & edit my own vocals for projects and am proficient as a producer and engineer.

She really knows how to drive the best out of you and she's really considerate, precise, and punctual about revisions.
Her performance is thrilling and captivating so you find yourself most of the time enhancing rather than fixing stuff.

It was a pleasure working with B Warner. Despite finishing a tour she quickly found time to work on project (completing the lyrics to my song). Her rough draft was excellent, but I had a couple of notes that she immediately incorporated into the final version. Thank you B!

I'm here to tell you, B can lay down some awesome lyrics! It is hard for people to write for me because I am so particular when it comes to my music, but B reached the heart of me with her lyrics. I am a satisfied customer.

With our song, we wanted to tell a story. The vocals were the key to capturing the right emotion with enough power and depth. B delivered extraordinary results, not just because her voice is a amazing, but because she took the time to truly understand the words, the narrative and the spirit of what we were after. Also, she provided alternative harmonies, and detailed variations so we could fine tune the production. Highly Recommend!

My collaboration with B. for the lyrics of my song was for me a very pleasant and constructive experience.
B. is a friendly and professional person that I can recommend.
At the end of our collaboration, I feel that the meaning of my song was not diverted from what I had in mind and that B. helped me to put it in place with subtlety and poetry - check_circleVerified

B was amazing to work with, nothing but sweet and professional! She kept me updated throughout the whole process to make sure I was happy with everything, and she produced an amazing song in a very timely fashion. The song is not only exactly how I envisioned it to be, but it is even better than I imagined! I would highly recommend her!
Interview with Britt Warner
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: GOOD music ;) Wonderfully, genre doesn't exist anymore, at least not like it used to. I'll always love folk and trip-hop, ethereal and orchestral, moody and melancholy...but the challenge of singing an upbeat, happy, dance-y song is always wanted. I can do "pop," believe it or not! Also, when people ask me to write songs as one-time gifts for loved ones, it's my favorite.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Being decisive, listening to my own voice, letting go of the need for external validation...and then getting excited to share from a pure place. Embracing what is best for me, as an artist and individual, and committing to that route with renewed vigor. I'm chipping away at personal projects and am currently working on vocals and lyrics for orchestral tracks in the film/TV world. I have projects under the names Britt Warner, October's Child, Gramma Esther, and am featured on works by Lawless and the Dreamless Sleep.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Taking a seed and nurturing it into full bloom.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your goal with this project? What mood, vibe, concept do you wish to communicate? What's the deadline (if any)?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Music collaboration is like dating. Ask yourself: Does this person "see" me and "get" me? Do I feel safe and able to trust them? Do I like their energy and vibe or do I want to hire them because what they represent appeals to my ego? Hmmmm
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A motorboat, fuel, a mobile phone with flawless reception, water, and fruit. I am way beyond the point of romanticizing alienation, get me the hell off that island, and in one piece.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started writing songs when I was five and sang them to horses as my exclusive audience for a long time. Singing was a way to self-soothe and writing was a coping mechanism. That evolved over many many years whilst wrestling between answering my true calling and crippling self-doubt.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Strength in vulnerability.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Johnny Greenwood. His inventiveness is thrilling.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Jordan Waré, my October's Child bandmate. His violin skills are out of this world and he's also a mind-blowing producer.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I work with both, equally. I believe invention is born out of necessity and our limitations are a gateway to true originality. If you're a true artist, you can make something cool with two sticks and a rock (which is analog, btw).
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more. Unless more is more. If I take a fully arranged and produced song and strip it down to vocals and guitar and it still holds up, that makes me happy.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: "Diminuendo" with Dan Heath. I wrote melody and lyrics and sang my ass off. The song has been licensed a bunch, which is exciting, but on an artistic level, I feel like I bled out every cell in my being to bring that song to its fullest potential. I love it so much. I also love all of the unfinished lo-fi demos sleeping on my external hard drives. With that in mind, I have many a cappella vocals that are available for licensing/purchase. Enquire within. x
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Placing myself in the shoes of others. If you give me a direction to go in and what you want to express, I can tap into that reality with poetic accuracy.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Intuition, empathy, depth, poetry, and emotional intelligence. I am also an excellent engineer.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Don't wait for inspiration to arrive, just show up and dive in. Every endeavor is a muscle that will atrophy if it's not exercised regularly.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in Logic X and have an average microphone that I modified with a new-old General Electric tube. It's warm and dark, much like my heart.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Everyone who creates for the love of channeling a higher frequency.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Songwriting, topline, and vocals.
