Tell your story.
Located in Greenwich village - New York, I am here to take your song ideas and turn them into something you can be proud of. My goal is to offer globally competitive Production & Mixing you can use to take the next steps in your career. When you hire me, you get 10+ years of Producing and you won't sound like every other artist. I will record every sound from scratch. I will help you get where you want with your ideas and make sure you stay out of hype and trend.
As a composer, I always set myself for up a deep understanding of each story before writing any note. Composing might seem an easy task, but I do believe that the musician is partially the storyteller, every detail is important to me.
I always follow the producer and the writer's perspectives, to help them deliver their narratives the way they wish, I only step in to ensure they reach the best version, keep them away from missing any key moments.
It is always a pleasure helping these stories

He was very receptive to my feedback and helped me flesh out the instrumentals of my song beautifully. I definitely recommend!
Interview with Nour Harkati
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I love using both analog and digital gear in my studio because each offers unique advantages that complement your creative process: Analog Gear: 1. Warmth and Character: Analog equipment provides a rich, organic sound that adds depth and texture to my recordings. It brings a timeless, human touch that resonates emotionally. 2. Hands-On Interaction: I enjoy the tactile experience of tweaking knobs and sliders, which allows me to connect physically with the music and explore sounds intuitively. 3. Unpredictable Magic: The imperfections and subtle nuances of analog gear often create happy accidents that lead to unique and inspired results. Digital Gear: 1. Precision and Flexibility: Digital tools allow for detailed editing and experimentation. I can shape your music with pinpoint accuracy and revisit ideas easily. 2. Versatility: Digital plugins and software provide access to an infinite array of instruments, effects, and emulations of analog gear, offering a limitless creative palette. 3. Efficiency: With digital gear, I can streamline your workflow, save presets, and collaborate seamlessly across projects. By combining the two, I get the best of both worlds—analog’s warmth and unpredictability with digital’s precision and versatility. It’s this hybrid approach that allows me to craft music that feels authentic, polished, and deeply connected to my vision.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise to my clients is to deliver music and production that is authentic, culturally rich, and tailored to their unique artistic vision. I commit to: 1. Authenticity: Ensuring the music reflects their true identity and resonates with their audience on a deep, emotional level. 2. Excellence: Bringing a high level of professionalism, creativity, and expertise to every project, from composition to production. 3. Collaboration: Creating a collaborative environment where their ideas are valued, and their story is at the forefront. 4. Innovation: Using my diverse background and hybrid approach to blend traditional and contemporary elements, resulting in music that stands out. 5. Dedication: Supporting them through the entire creative process, with the goal of exceeding expectations and delivering work they are proud of.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Anything can inspire me; it’s all about the vision and how I bring it together in the end. Considering my North African roots and the time spent in New York City, I might draw inspiration from musicians and producers who similarly bridge cultural gaps or innovate within diverse genres. Here are a few possible inspirations: Musicians: 1. Tinariwen - Known for their desert blues, blending traditional Tuareg music with global influences. 2. Dhafer Youssef - A Tunisian composer and Oud player who merges jazz with Arabic music. 3. Ali Farka Touré - A Malian guitarist and singer whose work fuses African blues and traditional Malian music. 4. Anouar Brahem - A master Oud player known for his evocative jazz and classical fusion. 5. Oumou Sangaré - A Malian vocalist celebrated for her modern take on Wassoulou music.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: As a producer, my work revolves around crafting music that merges diverse influences, reflecting my own background as a North African artist living in New York. The most common type of work I might do for clients includes: 1. Fusing Styles: Helping artists blend North African musical elements, such as rhythms, melodies, and traditional instrumentation, with contemporary genres like jazz, soul, or urban grooves. 2. Song Development: Collaborating with clients on songwriting, arrangement, and composition to bring out authentic storytelling and cultural richness. 3. Cultural Adaptation: Guiding artists in incorporating world music flavors while keeping the music accessible to international audiences. 4. Production & Recording: Overseeing studio sessions, directing performances, and ensuring the final sound reflects a polished, cohesive vision. 5. Mentorship: Offering insights on embracing multicultural identities in music, especially for artists exploring cross-genre or cross-cultural projects.
