I am a vocalist for Modern Hard Alternative Art Rock band, Mawcore. We have had a few #1 songs, on the National Rock charts and have been making music, together, as Mawcore, for about 9 years or so. I have been the lead vocalist for 3 hard rock bands and one acoustic duo. I have recorded my voice on 7 albums.
As a vocalist, my goal has always been to let the song speak to me and guide me. Even though I am a writer and composer, it has always been about becoming a part of the song and working use my voice to compliment what is happening in the song.
I have mostly sang on Hard Rock, Progressive rock and art rock songs, but I have also recorded vocals on a few hip-hop songs, as well as a few acoustic songs.
I don't believe my voice fits every project, but I will always give the songs and projects a listen to determine if they are the right fit for me and if I am the right fit for them.
My voice has been described as clean and pure. While I can get it to be gritty, my best fit is always more of a melodic, symphonic, acoustic, ambient or even a house project.
