As genre lines become obscured and music becomes more mosaic-like, the artists who will rise to the top are those who are as diverse as the tastes of today’s and tomorrow’s music listeners. Producer/engineer/artist developer Dave Moss is a result of a calculated collision of genetics, education and hustle, and the result is heat.
Dave comes from a musical lineage; his mother is a classically trained opera singer/teacher who has performed on stages as prestigious as the Metropolitan Opera in New York. With rich musical blood running through his veins, Dave learned piano at 12 years old and began producing in high school. Natural talent was the starting point, but Dave began to equip himself to excel in an ever-changing music industry by attending Langston University on a music scholarship and then supplemented that with engineering courses at LARS. Dave could have rested on natural ability and head knowledge, but he put those two to work at the BatKave, a small studio in San Diego, applying all that he learned and further honing his craft.
After four years of cutting his teeth at the BatKave, Dave branched out and created Heaterville.com, a one-stop-shop for artists to purchase beats, be professionally recorded/mixed, and to be shaped and developed into the well-rounded “brands” that will stand out in the vast sea of artists in a saturated industry.
