Interview with Abe Song
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on Ghibli/Disney inspired song for an influencer And also some upbeat tracks for K-pop boybands.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Ashley Alisha for female vocasl and Tim Riehm for male vocals!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital since it allows you to be more compact, so it's better for travelling.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like making someone else's idea come to life.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I have a classical background so I'm very classical, but no! I was playing jazz more when I was in a classical program. So my piano professor had no idea why I was there.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started with classical piano 22 years ago. I went to school for classical composition and theory, so my orchestration chops are there. I play jazz so I can give you complex jazz chords.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I'm a pianist, so I like to use piano and keyboard instruments.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd like to work with Bruno Mars if I get a chance. I love the energy he brings to his songs.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If you can't choose between two options, go with the shorter one.

A: I've been working on UK type a lot these days. Garage and DnB
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I play piano professionally too j
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually start with drums. Then I'll sketch the ideas with keys, then pick sounds that each section needs.
