How we're going to make music together
- We'll start out by having a chat (phone, email or video, whatever you prefer!) to make sure we're aligned on your vision and to sort out any additional terms
- Turnaround time is usually 3-5 days (striving for as soon as possible), larger projects will take longer and I'll provide an individual estimate
- Once we're finished, I'll send over the files (Either stems or an Ableton Session) via DropBox or We Transfer

Endorse Russell HensonRussell composed and performed my podcast theme music and completely nailed what I was looking for. I wanted a pseudo-90's psychedelic sound and he created a final product that was even better than what I had in my head. I never had only one round of notes working with composer until I worked with Russell.
Russell is an amazing composer. I was extremely fortunate to have him compose the score for my CGI science fiction short film. He completely understood the highly abstract and experimental idea behind the film and was able to articulate it through music.
He brought the scenes to life and was able to work with minimal direction.
He picked up notes really well and always put the narrative first.
I highly recommend him for your projects.
Professional, responsive, and great performer/writer. Had Russell take a stab at a guitar solo on one of my tracks. I didn't have to edit or any adjust anything when I got it back. I had zero notes. My only feedback was... thank you! Looking forward to working with Russel on future projects.
Russell has been integral in helping me bring several projects to their fullest potential. He's always quick, professional, and usually surpasses my expectations. Would recommend his mix engineering skills to anyone in my orbit.
Russell is one of my regular collaborators and go-to's - We have worked on a number of projects together, everything from Movie Trailers to Playing Shows for 10,0000 people. I recommend him to everyone I work with and bring him into any project I am capable of - session playing, production, whatever you need he's got you!
Russell is my GO TO guy for guitar and bass work and production. Super professional and always thinking outside the box! Highly recommended 10/10
Interview with Russell Henson
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Completing the scoring of my first series. It looked as daunting Everest at the jump, but to make it up and over ALIVE was a very proud moment.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: LOTS of advertising music.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: David Arkwright and Justin Gammella are two that I adore and am beyond fortunate to work with consistently. Each is a total package in and of themselves.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Creating something out of nothing. A thought or emotion brought to life.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd really love to play for Carly Rae Jepsen. The E-MO-TION album is lastingly one of my favs.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My dear friends in More Giraffes (Keeley Bumford and Mark Hadley) knock everything they touch out of the park in both their joint project AND in each of their respective solo ventures (Dresage and Hark Madley respectively) Ludwig Goransson is really inspiring for his output in both film and popular music.
