Bass Player
My name is James Ahwai and I have spent the last 15 years playing bass guitar on tour with the likes of James Arthur, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Rumer, Chris Rea and Ella Henderson. I've performed with artists as diverse as Maceo Parker, Selena Gomez, Swing Out Sister, Liam Payne and Emeli Sande.
My recording credits include: Chronixx (two tracks on "Chronology" nominated for Best Reggae Album GRAMMYs 2017) , MARINA (and the Diamonds) US/UK Top 10 Album "FROOT", Chris Rea, PREP.
I'm most comfortable playing pop, soul, funk/disco and rocky styles.
I like playing with a pick, finger style and slap.
