Justin Abel is a recording engineer, producer, and mixing engineer based out of Portland, OR.
I attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Phoenix, AZ in 2012 followed by an internship in the fantastic OmniSound Studios in the heart of Nashville's Music Row. I am now based in my hometown Portland, OR at my studio named Tone Lab Studio, located in the country just 20 minutes from downtown. Being in an up and coming music town, I work on a lot of different genres ranging anywhere from acoustic folk to alternative rock to hardcore.
I have had the pleasure of working with We Shot The Moon, East Hill Worship, Toxic Kid, Bo Baskoro, Andrew Serino, Shae Altered, and many more.

Justin is amazing! Super fast and professional. A great listener and will help you get exactly what you want out of your sound. Really patient, understanding, and enthusiastic. Can't wait to continue working with him!
Justin is an amazing engineer. So easy to work with and he will even help you develop idea to help you get the best product for your money. He's done three albums for my band Toxic Kid and my solo album as well. They all came out better then I could've asked for. He'll be doing the next TK album as well.
With as many times that I have used Mr. Abel's services it has been nothing but stellar. He is patient, understanding, a great all around musician and will work hard to understand your vision for the project at hand. A+ rating!
I've worked with multiple producers and engineers through the years. Justin's skills as an engineer are incredible - he knows his gear and is amazingly fast with pro tools. He also has a meticulous ear for mixing. As a producer he uses his musical knowledge and skill to bring great creativity. Can't wait to work with Justin again.
Justin Abel is the man for the job. Not only does he do a killer job with mixing and producing, but this guy is INTENTIONAL with his job. He loves music, so much that he can basically play every instrument. But I've loved how he's also helped write the songs that I've recorded with him.
If you're looking for a producer, go book Justin Abel.
