I'm a Nashville based singer with a love and passion for helping to bring songs to life. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2011 where I majored in Songwriting. I've been lucky enough to make my living as a full time musician and singer over the last decade. From the digital stage of YouTube, to the famous venues on the sunset strip in Hollywood, to cruise ships in Australia and 5 star resorts in Bora Bora, music has taken me to some amazing places.

In the studio, I've sung on countless projects including Lego commercials, international sync projects and movie trailers. My duo The Running Mates has racked up over 43 million views on YouTube and almost 200 thousand subscribers. We duet everything, so I'm very comfortable with harmonies and harmony arranging if you already have a lead vocal and are just looking for some background vocals.

I've also been playing guitar for over 20 years and can record acoustic and electric guitar in many genres.

I'm comfortable with most genres including pop, rock, soul and even crooning so don't hesitate to reach out even if my samples are mostly pop!

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Julie Broschard for female vocals
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: As a millennial who has only worked for myself, I have limited experience with analog gear aside from while I was in college. For sure there is a magical sound that tape and all of the capacitors and transformers made back in the day, but who are we kidding? For the sake of convenience and budget, all of our favorite legendary records would have been made on a laptop if they had access to the same technology we have today!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started like most people writing and producing my own songs. Then I began doing work for friends and other bands in the local scene. When you're starting out, it's so important to meet new people and just making yourself available for anything. I've played on cruise ships, at 5 star resorts on beautiful islands, and famous venues on the sunset strip in Hollywood. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Incubus, Nothing But Thieves. Two of my favorite bands, and some of the most musically diverse musicians out there. They are always evolving and very album is completely different, which is so hard to do as a band. I would love to hear what we'd come up with
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on all genres, but mainly rock, pop, americana and folk music
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As a songwriter and a musician myself, I try bring a sense of emotion and feel to a track
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a dedicated studio space with professional acoustic treatment and top of the line recording equipment like my 1073 preamp and amazing Soyuz 019 microphone
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Oh boy too many to name but I'll try! As a vocalist, I'm most influenced by alternative rock singers like Brandon Boyd, Maynard James Keenan, Chris Cornell etc. As a producer/mixing engineer I really look up to people like Andy Wallace, Andy Sneap, Ken Andrews, Rich Costey, Brendan O'Brien, Eric Valentine, and Sean Everett.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common work I do is vocals and guitar
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will only improve your song!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Taking songs that are almost there and really making them come alive
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My guitars and as much sunscreen as I could carry!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Get it right at the source! Don't expect a plugin to give you a great track after it's already been recorded poorly
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My ears and my instincts for what a song needs. Because I'm also a musician that plays many instruments, I think I'm able to think more like a musician and less like only a singer
