Fermin is an excellent mixing engineer and vocal producer. He makes the client feel at home and is well prepared ahead of each session. I would 100% recommend Fermin to any recording session, especially those that are focused on vocal production one on one with the client.
One of the hottest most hard working engineers in the game rn. Very patient new artist and very proficient and swift in his craft when dealing with seasoned artist. Also what I appriecate is that he is willing to teach if your willing to learn. Definitely takes his craft serious and is a professional. I would say after working with fjr not only did my project come out dope asf but I improved as an artist after....-HIghChairs
Interview with Fermin
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I believe I bring out the artists truest intentions through vocal production/editing and by creating "a space" for the vocal.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When I receive sessions, I make sure that I have everything I need before I begin any editing or mixing; usually, I listen to the reference that the client has been listening to. Once the client and I have confirmed that I have received everything, I organize the session (re-arranging of instruments, vocal editing, etc.). This is when I begin the actual mix!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use Apogee converters for my studio setup! I, also, monitor & print through a Neve 5059 Satellite Summing Mixer. Because I know the sound of my gear so well, I am able to create the sound that the artist hears in their head.
