Nolan Trotter is a musician and audio engineer based in Brooklyn, New York. Trained by legendary producer/engineers (Bob Power, Kevin Killen, and Michael O'Reilly) at the prestigious Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Nolan is well versed in both high end studio engineering and analog equipment.
Brooklyn-based engineer, mixer, and producer working across indie, alternative, and experimental pop. I focus on capturing honest performances and making records that feel alive, emotional, and sonically distinctive.
I’ve been trained and mentored by Bob Power (A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul), Kevin Killen (U2, David Bowie), Michael O’Reilly, Erin Tonkon (David Byrne, Esperanza Spalding), and Bobby Wooten IV (David Bowie, Mac Miller), developing a strong foundation in both technical precision and artist-first collaboration.
Recent work includes engineering sessions for Tommy Stinson (The Replacements, Guns N’ Roses). I offer in-person tracking, remote mixing, and production, with a focus on helping artists realize their vision while pushing the sound forward.
