I have arranged and produced discs, written soundtracks for movies, series, audiovisual installations and short films such as the track for the movie The Boy Who Made a Museum - England / Brazil, 2017, winner of the public selection of best documentary at the RiverFilm Festival, in Padova, Italy (2018) and London Association of Foreign Correspondents Award. A a partner at Punks - the largest display of independent music in the world - I have produced tracks for channels such as GNT, Vice and Canal Brasil.

Interview with Felipe Mancini
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Perhaps the biggest confusion is to think that I am a classical guitarist. I come from the school of improvisation, I like languages from the world of jazz, soul, rock, reggae and of course, music from all over the world.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask them what they want with the production. What is the intention of that song, to which market will it be destined?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: People are different. Each process is a choice and creates a kind of relationship. I believe that trust is the best message, always
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My acoustic classic guitar seria o suficiente para uma vida de paz.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been working with this for over 20 years. I've played in several countries like Brazil, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Germany. I've done award winning soundtracks here in Brazil, awarded in England and Italy. I have my solo album released in 2019, which is called Passagem, available on digital platforms.

A: I believe that if we are willing to learn, everyone and every artist has something to teach us

A: Be original without trying to copy trends or what others do.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Brazilian music, indie and pop music.

A: Make arrangements and compositions
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I listen music form all parts of the world. Brazil has a lot influence of immigrants form Africa, Europe and some parts of Asia. It bring me influences of music and history.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Hear what the client want and try put my style on it.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a studio im my house with a Tascam 16x08 interface. I work with microphones AKG and Sunheiser to record acoustic guitar. For eletric guitar I use Fender guitar an amplifiers and to VST I use Waves plugin
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Gustavo Santaolalla its a great film composer. Radiohead is incredible band with a great work in a studio. I like to hear Egberto Gismonti, Yamandu Costa e Baden Powell, great guitar players here from Brazil. I like to hear jazz like Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock and the blues guitar players, like B.B. King. Stevie Ray and many others
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I like to highlight two main works. One is working as a guitarist. I play acoustic guitar, guitars from different parts of the world, and the blues and rock electric guitar too. I also usually compose tracks for films and instrumental music.
