Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock / Pop / hip -hop / R&B
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Anything and everything about Drumming !
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I think a groove is what holds it all together and at the same time it should be absolutely what the song needs and compliments the other elements in the track. So many years into performing LIVE has made me capable of giving the song what it needs and not more and not less .
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I import the .wav files that the clients send into logic (the software) and set the tempo they had mentioned and loop the song and just keep playing over it till I am feeling it through and once I feel it's in my muscle memory I hit the record button. Once I am done I will export the audio files as seperate bounces and send them back to the clients and will await to hear what they have to say about it and once I know they are happy, I move on to my next project .
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: So I have a Pear Vision Birch Artist series DrumKit. To record the drums I use AUDIX mics . •1 mic for the kick drum •1 mic for the snare •1 mic for the rack toms •1 mic for the floor Tom •2 mics for the Overheads My DAW is LOGIC PRO X. I use a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 soundcard .
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Mike Portnoy, Gavin Harrison, Dennis Chambers, Thomas Lang.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I am a drummer/Beat producer and I have been fortunate enough to work with a lot of musicians from different walks of life and music and I listen to a whole lotta music that's made me versatile . So I could pretty camouflage into any genre.
