I make 60’s & 70’s rooted music (psych, folk, funk, rock) sound raw, lively, and soulful.
Why work with me?
With the democratization of music recording technology it has never been easier to record yourself. It’s awesome! So much power in the hands of anyone with even a modest old computer, more capable than anything the recordists of the mid 20th century could ever dream of! The digitalization of the recording process and its dauntingly endless possibilities has unfortunately led to rigid, cold, and mechanical music.
If you work with 60’s & 70’s rooted music you know recordings of that era have a special dimensionality that leaps out of the speakers and takes your soul to a place.
Do you want your music to have a distinctive, raw, dimensionality that will stand out above the rest? I would love to talk!

Once again, Josh did an amazing mix and master for my song! Josh knows just what to apply to a mix and how to bring a song out while still maintaining the customer's musical individuality! Everything I asked for he was more than happy to do, thanks again!

Yet again could not be happier with my mix and master! Josh is just phenomenal! Every nuance of my song is perfectly balanced, the overall tone has been captured well and my song now just has an amazing newfound dimension to it! Thank you!

Could not be happier with my mix/master! My song was fairly rough to begin with and I was in desperate need of a professional touch and direction. Magnasonic bounced off my ideas and helpfully walked me through their thoughts on how to elevate the song. The end result encapsulated everything that I'd wanted -- the sound, style, genre, everything is exactly what I'd hoped for and more. It was such a pleasure to work with Magnasonic! They were unwaveringly polite too which is always a plus!
Josh of Magnasonic Studio is more than the mixer ~ he embodies the mix! You can entrust your sound project to him no matter the capacity. He will harness the opportunity with positivity, s and genuine attention. In my instance, Josh came to an event expecting to record only one instrument coming to find that there would be two on opposite ends of a physical space. He handled it with Grace and ease and the final product was so astounding. You can be sure your sound will be spun with a blend of intuition and analytics catered specifically to whatever you are hoping to create. Highly recommend!
Josh is one of the nicest and most talented guys I’ve had the opportunity to work with. I couldn’t believe how amazing the quality of his work was with my EP. Someone reviewed my EP saying, “It’s not fair. Most people’s first EP comes out sounding like a basement recording, this sounded professional...” I would definitely recommend Josh, he’s got a natural talent for Sound Engineering and Mixing.
Magnasonic studio is THE studio. Recorded my very first record with Josh and cannot recommend him enough. It came out exactly how I envisioned and working with him was a pleasure. He paid attention to fine details, always added input when asked and walked me through certain processes that he was doing so that I could understand. Very easy guy to work with especially with scheduling studio time and pricing. You CANNOT beat the price for the quality of sound that you will achieve and the experience that you will have at Magnasonic. You will not be disappointed by choosing this place!
