Drummer & percussionist born and bred in Figueira da Foz, Portugal.
Started playing drums at the age of fifteen and has studied with teachers such as Ronaldo Firmino (FadoMorse) and studied at Atelier de Percussão (Porto) with Hugo Danin (Gileno Santana, Marta Ren).
Progressive rock and metal were his primary influences at the outset, recording two albums with GriMLeT thus stepping into the main stages of festivals and concerts all over the country for the next ten years.
From thereon he attended a large variety of masterclasses & workshops with musicians such as Bruno Pedroso, Ruca Rebordão, André Silva, Pancho Tarrabia, Marcelo Magliocchi and developed interests in a wide variety of musical styles such as funk, jazz and free improvisation and experimental sound art.
Also developed interest and practice in the ancestral wind instrument didgeridoo. He has played a vast array of genres, from pop to progressive death metal, jazz, folk and others.
Currently, he teaches drums at cultural association Tubo d'Ensaio in Figueira da Foz and is active working in musical projects as Sérgio Lucas, Mercury Falls, Curva de Mobius and also working to release next year his first solo project "Monge Azul" and "Blá, Blá, Tum-Pá" (improvised drums & percussion project).
