Alright I’m going to be real, mastering is one of the most complex and crucial parts of any track. As an artist, you get really excited about a track you created on your DAW, you have the mix down nice and perfect with 6db of headroom and everything. Then you go into the unknown and try to master it on your own (if you’re an amateur sound engineer like me) or you use some bot software on the internet. With Tech Avenue the stress and anxiety gets taken away. Your track is in good hands with people who know the culture and know the music. I’ve loved each time working with them.

Had a single track mastered by Tech Ave. and was more than satisfied with the result. Track was mastered perfectly and they also gave me a very thorough explanation with each revision. Another reason I love working with TAR is how fast and efficiently respond to questions and requests. Appreciate the work guys.

  3. Review by SamBRNS

Had a release with them earlier this year and I was not disappointed with the final product. I’ve been playing out the masters since they’ve been available and the quality is top tier. Thanks again!

There are some important details you look when someone is working on your master or managing your music, Tech Avenue really help me finding that balance and sound that I was looking for my tracks, they sound the way I wanted and I was not able to make it by myself, super grateful with the whole team, they work great and the feedback is fast and accurate!

Working with Tech Avenue Records has been a huge blessing and success. When I initially got started I didn't have much of a reference on what to expect. This later changed quickly after talking with Peter of TAR. Peter went ABOVE AND BEYOND as a person to teach and inform me about the process, let alone my rights as an artist. The best part of this is the service. I never felt like an inconvenience and was told to reach out if I ever had a question or thought about something, and I know that its genuine. TAR is the bridge of connecting the unconnected and taking community to the next level.

Mastered an EP with Tech Avenue. Service and communication was world class and unrivaled, and the quality of the masters came out sounding perfect! Highly recommend using Tech Ave for simple Stereo masters, their pricing is consistent or better than market, however their service is way above other engineers Ive worked with.

Interview with Tech Avenue Records

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: Digital - Analog mastering is the process of using analog equipment to process a signal to prepare it for distribution; digital mastering is the process of using solely digital processors and software to process a signal and for the same reason. There's a common misconception that "analog is better". This is not always the case, and even analog processing comes with its own set of drawbacks. We've found that digital processing allows for the most freedom and quickest turnarounds, while maintaining a high level of quality in the final mix.

  3. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  4. A: As a general rule of thumb, it's best to leave your mastering engineer with ample headroom in your mix so that the track doesn't sound "squashed" after processing.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: Tech House, House, Techno. But as a hobby, we also dabble in Lo-Fi, Underground Hip Hop, etc.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: Running a label.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: Each piece of music that comes through our studio is carefully mastered based on it's individual characteristics. We never use presets and guarantee the same level of quality you would expect from a facility that would cost you hundreds of dollars more.

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: We do all of our mixing and mastering in Ableton Live Suite 10.

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: Our studio has access to only the best suite of mixing and mastering plugins that we've collected over the years. Everything from UAD, to Slate Digital, Waves, iZotope, and everything in between!

  15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  16. A: Marco Carola, Matt Sassari, Joseph Capriati, Oscar G, Chus & Ceballos, Lee Wells, Solardo

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: Founded in September 2019, Peter Elmeri (aka Stu) started Tech Avenue with the purpose of providing up and coming Techno and Tech House artists with a platform to be heard. Being a new producer himself, he learned first hand the biggest difficulties that presented themselves throughout the music creation process. Sound engineering, marketing, and distribution were among the few hurdles to navigate through.
