g-bass project on SoundBetter

My love for the mixing and mastering process came from writing and performing my own music. I have 12 years of experience in making studio albums. I've played bass guitar and percussion in many genres for several artists and in bands for over 25 years.

I use a combination of high-quality analog rack gear and in-the-box plugins from Universal Audio (over 40 UAD plugins), Waves (over 20 Waves plugins) and iZotope (Ozone 10 Advanced, RX10 Advanced, others). I find this approach to yield the best balance of the real analog tone we all love combined with the efficiency and creativity that software is capable of in today's studio.

I am a great communicator and I respond to your messages very fast. I would love to work with you to help you take your music to the highest level. Please feel free to send me your project if you'd like my opinion about it or if you have any other question about audio.

I provide the following services:

- Mixing Engineering with analog gear and high quality plugins
- Mastering Engineering with analog gear and high quality plugins
- Audio Repair and Restoration using iZotope RX10 Advanced
- Podcast Editing and Mastering
- Vocal Tuning

We just had g-bass project mix and master a very busy rap track with 29 tracks and lots of layers. To say the finished track sounds incredible, is a severe understatement. He took our jumbled tracks and created an absolute masterpiece, and will be my go to guy moving forward. The knowledge of his craft is second to none and he kept me in the loop with the utmost professionalism. I can't wait to hear how he makes some of my other tracks shine in the future.

G Bass is definitely an underrated engineer on this site. I had an 80s new jack swing styled song that I needed mixed and G was able to turn my dream into a reality with a clean and smooth sounding mix. Since the style of my song resembles something that may be heard back in the day, I had to make sure I found the right person for the job, and G bass was definitely able to deliver that vintage and timeless sound I was looking for.

Interview with g-bass project

  1. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  2. A: This may not seem like a "music" tip, but I always listen to the client and have a professional attitude. This has gotten me very far in my relations. I listen more than I speak. I answer emails/messages/calls with lightening-fast response.

  3. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  4. A: I bring a tight balance of right-brained creativity and left-brained analytical thinking. I've been an engineer for over 25 years in the field of design where I honed the ability to balance creativity and critical thinking. That background is reflected in my music.

  5. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  6. A: I utilize a balance of analog hardware and high quality plugins. It gives me the best balance of getting the analog sound that people love with the speed, recall-ability and creativity of in-the-box software.

  7. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  8. A: I am known best for mixing, mastering and repairing my clients files. I get a lot of files that have hiss, ambient/unwanted noises.
