Hi There! I'm Lyle and I am freelance Producer from Chester, UK, specialising in the recording and production of Modern Rock/PopRock/Blues records, with 5 years of production experience in professional studios across genres. I am looking to expand my career after recently graduating from University where I studied Music Technology extensively.
I can help you to turn your demo recordings into radio-worthy songs at a price that won't break your bank account. I do this simply for the love of great music and the desire for experience of working with musicians from different countries and genres.
As well as music-production services I am also extensively trained as a Sound Designer for Film and Game media, with three years experience working at a high level, currently I am looking at an internship with media studios across the world in Sound Design for film! (Film students have found me to be a helpful service for short productions).
I have been singing from a very young age in bands and as a solo-musician. Providing top-lines and harmonies for rock records and drum&bass samples. I have also worked in collaboration with Hip-Hop artists to create cross genre productions.
Bass and Guitars and Keys have been my main instruments for over 8 years now, as a multi-instrumentalist, nothing is more exciting than rehearsal time. I am able to provide bass-lines, top-lines, modular synth patches, guitar sections, keys and vocal harmonies to a very high level and am extremely eager to start working to an absolute professional standard on any of your tracks!

great voice and very good coomunication. I will work with Lyle again.
I loved collaborating with Lyle, we made the tune 'Station Approaching' together. It was honestly one of the best experiences i've had in my life. Lyle is such a lovely, polite and passionate person. He is a true professional. His musical expertise allowed us to produce the track smoothly and quickly, without stress or worry. He has a great energy, this made the process fun and authentic. His knowledge made me feel very comfortable and inspired. He has an amazing voice that is very mature for his age and he is a master performer, he knows how to engage the audience and sing from the soul.
Interview with Lyle McLoughlin
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: BOTH, the sound quality of Analog equipment is unrivalled, however, the audio processing power that digital plug-ins have to offer are extremely useful when it comes to creating high quality audio recordings.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I find music projects interesting to the point tat I can spend several days working on a project until its done, I find that this process works best for me as if I begin a project and then leave it for a few days, the creative process begins to stagnate. This is why I choose to work in short bursts across a few days.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I mostly work from a home studio, however I have access to a wide-range of amplifiers, instruments, microphones and a studio-space for large scale productions.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am heavily inspired by producers and musicians including James Ford, Dan Aurbach, Steve Reich and Chas Chandler. Though the full list of my inspirations is too extensive from a wide-range of genres to try and condense.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I have mostly produced and assisted to produce music for myself and some close friends as a studio engineer, producer and mix-engineer. Film students have also utilised my Sound Design experiences in short films and game medias, where i was required to carry out field-recordings, Foley effects and audio processing to make the media more authentic.
