Two times Latin Grammy Award-Nominee
Gilberto Monte is a composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist with two Latin Grammy Award nominations and one Academy Awards Oscar nomination. Within 25 years of experience, he has been in collaboration with some of the greatest Brazilian artists, including Lucas Santtana, João Bosco, Gilberto Gil, Zeca Baleiro, Arto Lindsay, Chico César, Hamilton de Hollanda, Anaí Rosa, Metá Metá, Maria Beraldo, Cacá Machado and many more. As a composer, he has done works for dance, visual arts installations and films such as "The Edge of Democracy", an Oscar contender in 2020. Gilberto is director and curator of the @musicaestranha.me festival. He also has over 10 years of experience in the public and social sector, at state and federal levels, working on expanding, modernizing, and democratizing cultural funding to promote arts and culture as a key factor for development.
