Corey made a very valuable contribution to the song. Also fully engaged and a very good communicator.
Listening to Corey's recordings is a unique moment in time; listening to him play live though, is just a heart stopping experience.
Corey Harvin is an excellent musician. I have worked with him in both performance and academic environments and he has excelled in both areas. Although he is primarily a guitar player, Corey played bass in two different groups I was involved with (R&B and World Fusion) and was always punctual, prepared and very professional. I cannot say enough about Corey; I highly recommend him.
Corey contributed to the World Ensemble project by the Twisted Spruce Music Foundation. He recorded a part for the premier of a minimalist work in 7/8 time by Australian composer, Azariah Felton. The project required 100 guitarists from around the world to submit their audio independently. Corey delivered his part beautifully. His audio was excellent and his playing was solid. As project manager, I have put him at the top of the call-back list for our future premiers. I can confidently recommend Corey.
Cory Harvin was the guitarist on my very large work for electric guitar and percussion ensemble. He premiered the work, has played subsequent performances, and was my performer of choice for the CD produced by Ravello Records. I cannot praise his work as a guitarist enough. He came to rehearsals prepared, and he brought more to the performance than just playing the notes, he made the piece his own. His technique is fantastic and is only matched by the expressive quality of his playing. He made the work rock.Cory is also extremely versitile. He is equally fantastic on classical guitar.
Corey Harvin has played electric bass on numerous gigs with my world fusion steelpan group Callaloo on 3 separate visits to Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando. He had to read some pretty difficult music with little to no rehearsal and executed his parts amazingly well. He is a serious pro I will happily recommend!
Corey Harvin produced the classical portion of my solo guitar CD "A Time When Things Were New: solo guitar music of the 1920s". His excellent attention to detail, and creative musical ideas and suggestions helped me release a project I am truly proud of. Corey Harvin's services are highly recommended.
