Beautiful work

Natalie was amazing as always. Very challenging project that required fast strings and lots of emotion, and she nailed it. I highly recommend Natalie!

Natalie is a "clean and accurate" musician. Both her music performance and her partner's high efficiency in communication have clearly helped me to complete the cooperation. Their playing is harmonious, and they are able to maintain a harmonious intonation and emotional processing despite a diverse string arrangement. Thanks again.

beautiful playing and great to work with!

Top-notch violinist (and violist). Single-handedly made my track sound like it was recorded by a chamber orchestra -- totally remote with her own equipment. As a cellist I've literally spent thousands of hours playing in orchestras and she made this sound legit to my ears. Took direction well, on time and a pleasure to work with. Natalie's a pro. Hire her!

Natalie is amazing. Quick turn around, did exactly what I was hoping for (and then some) and picked up the vibe of the piece easily. Highly recommend!

Top stuff from Natalie. She has a great attention to detail and I'm really pleased with my recordings. Can only recommend.
I've used Natalie for several projects and have worked along side her as a colleague for over 20 years. I highly recommend her services - she plays a top-quality violin and has the engineering skills and equipment to make it sound great. In the studio Natalie is efficient and professional. I was over the moon with the remote recording Natalie sent me - her performance was just what I was looking for and the sound quality was mint. I was a little nervous about getting the right performance for my project but I found Natalie to be extremely easy to work and I got exactly what I wanted :)
Natalie is a great violinist and works quickly and with style. Very adaptable and experienced, highly recommend.
Natalie is very easy to work with and she will go out of her way to give you a fantastic, profesional recording. We used her for our recent album and we are incredibly pleased with the results. We hope to work with her again on our next album.
Natalie is a top professional who has arranged and been involved in many recording sessions here at Parr Street Studios. She is my first call for all things strings! :)
Interview with Natalie Purton
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am always working on library tracks for clients and sorting 'in person' sessions with larger ensembles and string sections
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I loved adding a remote Violin line to Andrew Swarbrick Westworld competition entry. It was so satisfying to play and I thought his style really worked for the clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAR5o_w851w&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR03z1xtnx8tpZMB4rFYDwgvQv-9IDfgbFb7p_9ONqJRGbRCDeLtWTri5BI
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes, I recommend Liz Hanks - Cellist.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will get it right for you
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love creating something that exists out there for ever!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: ask for more clips - my best clips are on YouTube!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: my violin, my viola, my bow, a gazebo to keep out of the sun, a pencil and paper
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have always been in the studio. I play with orchestras and ensembles Live but since about 2014 I have been working in studios regularly
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I'm pretty traditional but if something is scored, I can play it
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would have loved to have worked with Freddie Mercury, I think that would have been quite an experience
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Have the best gear
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on classical and pop library tracks and pop records, advert pitches and film scores
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Efficiency
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: The quality of my instrument speaks for itself, its pure sound is pretty rare. I love to add a bit of class and character to a violin line.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It usually starts with a discussion followed by receiving a score. I record the line as efficiently as I can so there is time for any alterations that may need to be done. I like to get things done, so I have a fast turnaround.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a great little room in the house dedicated to recording music, I have treated the walls and I use a close mic to get the purest sound from my lovely old violin
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Anyone who is efficient and hardworking.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Remotely I mostly provide solo violin lines for library music
