Electronic composer & analog synth specialist — hypnotic, Berlin-School-inspired soundscapes, built by hand.

I'm Erez Yaary — known under the name AERA — an electronic composer, producer, and mixing engineer, composing and recording since 1986. My work spans the full process: composition, production, recording, and mixing, built around a hybrid analog/digital system — modular synths, custom-built electronics, and a mixing chain that runs through Pro Tools alongside 500-series Neve and API hardware, Air EQ, and analog tape simulation.

I also design and build my own instruments and studio gear, which feeds directly into how I record and mix — a genuinely hand-crafted, analog texture that's hard to fake in software alone. My own music sits in the Berlin-School / Tangerine Dream / Vangelis tradition: hypnotic sequences, deep atmosphere, and patient, textural sound design rather than presets. A decade-plus of releases — including Everything Will Dissolve, Gravity, Memoria Technica, and Signal — reflect that focus on immersive, emotionally driven electronic worlds.
