I'm a versatile music producer and guitarist based in Amsterdam. At the heart of my projects stands a deep love for genuine and heartfelt music. My productions join organic and electronic elements together, with a cinematic and often melancholic character. In the end it's about telling a story in the best way possible.
A double graduate from two conservatories, trained as a classical guitarist and arranger, I have worked on many sides of the music scene, in just as many different genres ranging from pop to classical music. For more than ten years I have been playing on numerous stages and arranging and producing for numerous artists and orchestra's.
I have studied and recorded at the world famous Wisseloord Studio’s near Amsterdam where I signed as a songwriter and producer to BMG NL Publishing.
I mix, write and produce music for artists, bands and orchestra’s. Do you need a mixing engineer, does your project need a string arrangement, a horns section, a guitar part, or anything outside and in between, there is nothing I would rather do.
I like to work on projects that are one of a kind. To dive deep into a production and really feel the emotion of the story the artist is telling.
I will do everything I can to reach for the heart of your project and make it come to live. Whether that is as a producer, songwriter or mixing engineer.
Send me a message and tell me your story. I'd love to get in touch.
If requested, I am happy to send you some of my productions as a reference.

Interview with Ward Reijmerink
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Davide Ruffini, an amazing mixing and mastering engineer.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I live and breathe music, I wouldn't know what to do else.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Layering, layering, layering.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I love to work on any track that inspires me, or where the artist can convey to me the magic of a song.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I bring an artists vision to live in the form of a production.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I won't stop until you're satisfied.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Let me know all the ideas and thoughts you have. Communication is important, so I have clear idea of your vision.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Musicality, a good set of ears and a really strong sense of direction.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I talk to the artist about the song, to hear what their feeling for the track is, or if they have references they like. I then produce a mix that get's us 80% there, so the client can have an idea of the direction I am going in. After the client's approval I start working on the details.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been making music my entire life. It was only after I left the conservatory I discovered I didn't have to be attached to one genre of style. I just have to listen to what the music wants.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A genuine feeling for the soul of the song. I always look for character. With a very strong sense of style and direction, I can easily dissect the essence of a song and decide which way I need to go.
