I play acoustic, resonator and flamenco guitar. I Actually work with some studios, and i record guitars in different styles. I speak English, Italiano, Español, Português.
I've worked with many italians mainstream pop artists like Irene Grandi, L'aura, Carmen Ferreri and Irama. With Irama i've recorded the guitars of "Nera" (4 platinum song) and "Arrogante" (2 platinum song), Warner bros label.
I've recorded a solo acoustic album, called "Ya go go".
I've studied Jazz at the Conservatory of music "Antonio Vivaldi", Italy, and flamenco guitar at the "Cristina Hereen" school in Sevilla, Spain. Then I've moved to Portugal for study Jazz composition at the University of Music "Mateus Aranda", Evora.

Interview with Martino Pini
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on my new solo album, I'm recording the new Irama's single and i'm recording music for synchronization with "Another music records" label, Paris.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I use both, but in this period digital of course. For his portability and flexibility.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will find the sound that perfectly sit in your mix.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Creativity
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Rme babyface pro, Edwina Ear Trumpet Labs, my guitar and a wifi connection (and a bottle of wine)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've star recording when i was 18, now i'm 36.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, acoustic music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I've played pop, rock, jazz, flamenco, blues. I know harmony and i like to improvise, so i can write part by myself or help you to find the right part for your song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Normally i listen to the song, and i start to improvise into the groove. When the artist don't send me a writed part or an audio reference, i write the guitar part by myself.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have two condenser mics, an Akg414xls that i use for the classical guitar, and a Edwina Ear trumpet labs, that i use on the Acoustic guitar and the Resonator. Sometime i use two in AB setting. I have a SPL Goldmike mkII valve preamp, and a RME UC audio interface.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I record guitar parts and often i write my parts too.
