I have been working on both my own music and have done ghost writing for several years, now looking to branch out & connect with other creatives. I can record the final vocals for a track that is pre-written by using a demo vocal as a guide, or I can be a part of the songwriting process. I studied vocal performance at university and took professional lessons for years, along with piano performance and music theory. Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Get r e a l l y good at aural skills. This skill will tremendously help in aspects of musicianship, from songwriting, to production, to mixing.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronica, dark pop, electronic pop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Full songwriting
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: The tonality and high frequencies in my voice (especially my falsetto) makes for very dreamy & smooth vocals that add an ethereal and magical element to a track. I think the qualities in my voice and writing style compliment darker, dreamier, and ambient-type styles.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Usually I begin by recording ideas into my phone (both lyrics & audio). Once I have a solidified idea, I send it to the client I'm working with for approval, followed by the professional recording in my studio. After all recording is finished, I comp all of my best takes. Sometimes I will hand tune with Melodyne as well, but otherwise all of my vocals are delivered raw.
