Hey! My name is Jonas Schütz. I am a professional drummer from Germany. I play drums for the metal bands Eraserhead (Death Metal), Diësis (Metalcore) and Sapiency (Mel. Death). I offer to track live drums for your project! I love to write and record drums for many different projects. I also program drumtracks. Just feel free to message me!
I offer live tracked drums for many genres! I love to play Metal music but of course I'm also able to play Rock, Pop, Blues and Jazz.
If needed, I can write drum parts for your song but you also can give me your ideas for the song and I'll record them for you!
After everything has been discussed, I will record the drums and afterwards you'll get a wav-file of your song including my drums. If you are happy with the result, I will send you all 15 individual tracks of the recorded drums.
Equipment I use:
I'm using a Tama Starclassic Performer Birch/Bubinga kit,10"/12"/14"/16"/ Toms, 22x18" Kick and it's currently set up with a Tama Warlord Praetorian 14x6" Bell Brass Snare.
I'm using Evans drumheads, currently my kit is equipped with Evans EC2 clear batter heads and mostly G1 clear reso heads. On the Kick I have an Evans EMAD 2 clear.
I'm using all Meinl Cymbals.

Another great drum track provided for one of my tunes :) And if we haven't learned this lesson before, we know it now: Backup, backup! Thunder storms and PC equipment do not go well together :P
Another great job. Very quick to change a couple of parts that I needed done. Great communication.
Yeah working with Germans is the way to go! :)
Seriously, though; Jonas delivers great drum performances and is easy to communicate with and follows and understands directions very well. Highly recommended!
It was amazing working with Jonas, he has very professional approach and the results match it! Both the playing and the sound of the drums are very high quality. Highly recommending him!

Jonas did an awesome job he went above and beyond to get what i wanted. Extremely friendly and hard working.
Awesome drummer. Very professional. Quick. Good guy. Excellent quality. Whats not to like? Definitely be working with him again.
Jonas is a true professional and an incredible player. I needed someone who can handle more technical metal parts, and at the same time play with feeling over more mellow parts. Jonas delivered hugely in both areas. Highly recommended!
Really like Jonas work. Great drummer and he gives a lot extra for me to use when editing. Also very fast witch is really appreciated.

Great tracks for my death metal outfit! Really really flexible. Not a question as to who I will work with again! Thanks Jonas
Jonas takes great pride in his recordings and wants to deliver the best take possible. He works until the customer is happy. I recorded our band's latest album with him being our drummer and he really delivers.
Interview with Jonas Schütz
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Explain your project as detailed as possible as it will make the process of tracking a lot faster and stress free.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: For recordings I'm using a PreSonus StudioLive 16.4.2 digital 16 channel mixer that goes straight into my custom built PC running Windows 7 Ultimate and Cubase Pro 8. The PC has got 32GB of RAM, an Intel Core i7 running at 3,7 GHz, 3TB harddrive and a 256GB SSD built into it.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: At the moment I'm working on several new Youtube-videos and content for my channel in general.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise to my clients is my professional work mentality. I want you to be happy with the product I want to make for you.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like the creative aspect that comes with everything music related!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I'd take my 6-piece Tama drumkit...wait...
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Never do 'fix it in the mix'. Get it right at the source!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I play many styles of music. Mostly I play Metal, but I also love Blues, Jazz, Rock and Pop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill would be my timing. I always try to play as precise as possible (for metal for example).
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring my own style of playing into a song, I always want to make the best out of every song. For me, music is life.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Typically I first write some drums to a song that I think fit the needs of a song. I always want to work for the song and not my ego. After the drums are written, I then proceed to record them at the best of my abilities. After all the recordings are finished, I send them to the client.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm inspired by guys like Adam "Nolly" Getgood of Periphery, Anup Sastry (ex-drummer for the Band Monuments) and Alex Rüdinger (drummer for bands such as Threat Signal, The Faceless, Conquering Dystopia)
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Tracking live drums, mixing and editing drums.
