Additionally I work as a sideman on studio recordings, playing acoustic/electric guitar, pedal steel, lap steel, dobro, mandolin and banjo, as well as bass.
I recently opened Slow Sound Studios in Barcelona, and am also a co-founder of Slow Walk Music, a record label/management company for African music.
In addition to studying music at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, I have studied with Brian Wilkie (Nashville studio musician), Guillermo Berlanga (legendary pedal steel player), Kwame Adzraku (Ghanian drummer/composer), and David Maestro (guitarist from Benin).
