  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I have worked on a short-movie called "The Life Underground" who's director was Peter Hogenson. A high-end movie that involved so many great people and a even greater story plot. Peter and I establish a very good relationship right on the first day having earning his trust through my personality and my work. Composing for this story was such an incredible experience for both of us and by the end of it we very proud of what we manage to accomplish.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm a musical director of a musical where I will be merging an orchestra with a band.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Both have pros and cons it will depend on how you use it and for what purpose.

  7. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  8. A: Scoring to picture requires a lot of care and time that needs to preserved at all costs for the sake of a better final product that ensures to help the project.

  9. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  10. A: What I always try to ask my clients before starting on a project is for them to tell me the story and have a deep conversation about everything related to that. Then, I will have better ideas on how am I going to score.

  11. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  12. A: Make sure that you find someone that it's gonna write something that will resonate with your story/project, if you think that I'm the right one for the project, I will make sure to deliver what you looking for.

  13. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  14. A: guitar, piano, scores (for writing), phone in case I need to record any ideas before writing them down and headphones.

  15. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  16. A: I started my career as a lead guitarist of a well recognised band for over 10 years. Even during that time I was composing music any chance I got and eventually 5 years ago I started my career as a film composer.

  17. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  18. A: Ensure to help enrich the music and not disconnect from it.

  19. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  20. A: I promise a professional approach, good communication and delivery of quality work throughout the entire project.

  21. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  22. A: Able to work on what I love, music and movies. Also being able to work with many different people from different ethnicity, culture is very good and a learning curve for all of us that wants to growth not only professional, also your own personal growth.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: My style is a blend between many genres such as classical, world music and film music.

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: James Newton Howard. Because he shares the same musical values as I do.

  27. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  28. A: Film music, classical music, world music, pop and rock.

  29. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  30. A: Composition, orchestration, conducting, producing mock-ups.

  31. Q: What's your typical work process?

  32. A: After having the discussion with the director about the mood and the spotting session, I will start by doing piano sketches that will have already most of the material needed that will be sent to the director's approval. After having that sorted, I will begin doing the orchestration, mock-up, and then the score.

  33. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  34. A: My studio embodies 2 x Yamaha HS7, Yamaha MX88, and several orchestral libraries (East West, Kontakt, Spitfire Audio)

  35. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  36. A: John Williams, James Newton Howard, Elmer Bernstein, Williams Ross, Aaron Zigman.

  37. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  38. A: Scoring to picture, either for short or feature movies. Genres - drama, romance, suspense, action, thriller and animation
