I have played many basses for many artists and offer a fully professional recording service for electric and acoustic bass. Credits include: David Gray, Talk Talk, Fairground Attraction, Brian Eno, Michael Jackson, Peggy Seeger. I also collaborate with writing and production and mix in Protools.
I have Radial DI, Neve and API preamps and can mic using Vintage AKG, Beyer and Neumann microphones. I also have a choice of solid state or vintage valve bass amps. Please see a selection of instruments listed below. I always suggest that we discuss details of the project before I record. I can work from an mp3 or stems of submixes. I will provide a rough mix of the track with my recorded bass and can offer further recording if any changes are necessary depending on the agreed price. When you are satisfied with the work ,I will send the individual .wav bass files.

It's the first time I've worked with Simon and I have to say everything was spot on. A true professional that knows what he's doing, great player.
Simon is a Pro guy all the way, wonderful to work with and he put the final Bass touch to your music with his hart, 100% recommendation
Simon is a very good bass player, great timing, great groove and the sound is awesome. He recorded for me a bass track putting in much of his taste and the result was excellent.
Awesome as always
Simon have the most important quality in a musician: he knows how to listen your song carefully to improve it. Great arragements, simple or difficult, depending on what the song needs. I have worked several times and I am very happy with the results.
Very nice bass line and excellent sound. Simon knows how to do it in all the songss. He is probably the most elegant bass player I have known.
Simon is an excellent bass player, with a lot of experience in different styles from experimental to pop music, normally with international artists. If it is difficult to work on line, so I need the extra knowledgments of a experimented who can provide his own ideas. I am very happy with his work.
Nothing special, just the best bass player I've ever met. Delivers beautifully minimalistic bass lines. Will come back for more without any doubts!
Simon plays for you just the musical notes you need to make your song great and depth. Excellent and elegant player.
Simon in an special bass man. His good taste and personal concision made your music sound richness.
Simon not only provides tasteful melodic bass lines, but has an arsenal of wonderful sounding equipment, he used a '65 Vintage Hofner club on my track making it sound warmer and a joy to listen to.
Superb sound, superb approach, and Simon's my go-to bassist if I want something different as well as standard bass styles. He plays great hooks!
I've done many sessions with Simon. One of the most enjoyable ones was at West Side Studios, London with Brian Eno producing. Basically, one of the high lights of the recording was playing with this solid, melodic bass player.... Simon. Who has the personallity to match!
Hire him, enjoy him, no need to thank me after!
