I have played many basses for many artists and offer a fully professional recording service for electric and acoustic basses. Credits include: David Gray, Talk Talk, Fairground Attraction, Brian Eno, Michael Jackson, Peggy Seeger. I also collaborate with writing and production and mix in Protools.

I have Radial DI, Neve and API preamps and can mic using Vintage AKG, Beyer and valve Neumann microphones. I also have a choice of solid state or vintage valve bass amps. I would suggest Skype or email to discuss any details and I can work from an mp3 or stems of submixes. I will provide a rough mix of the track with my recorded bass and offer one further recording if any changes are necessary. Once payment is received I will send the individual bass files.

Simon not only provides tasteful melodic bass lines, but has an arsenal of wonderful sounding equipment, he used a '65 Vintage Hofner club on my track making it sound warmer and a joy to listen to.

  • Superb sound, superb approach, and Simon's my go-to bassist if I want something different as well as standard bass styles. He plays great hooks!

I've done many sessions with Simon. One of the most enjoyable ones was at West Side Studios, London with Brian Eno producing. Basically, one of the high lights of the recording was playing with this solid, melodic bass player.... Simon. Who has the personallity to match!
Hire him, enjoy him, no need to thank me after!
