Simon Edwards on SoundBetter

I have played many basses for many artists and offer a fully professional recording service for electric and acoustic bass. Credits include: David Gray, Talk Talk, Fairground Attraction, Brian Eno, Michael Jackson, Peggy Seeger. I also collaborate with writing and production and mix in Protools.

I have Neve, API and Universal Audio preamps and compressors and can mic using Vintage AKG, Neumann and many other microphones. I also have a choice of solid state or vintage valve bass amps. Please see a selection of instruments listed below. I always suggest that we discuss details of the project before I record. I can work from an mp3 or stems of submixes. I will provide a rough mix of the track with my recorded bass and can offer further recording if any changes are necessary depending on the agreed price. When you are satisfied with the work ,I will send the individual .wav bass files.

Send me a note through the contact button above.

Second time working with Simon, but third piece of music. Absolutely first class. Totally understood my rather abstract instructions, and went over and above to deliver parts to me. Very fast turnaround and excellent communication as usual.

Simon is the reason I joined SoundBetter in the first place. He played on the most influential albums for the project in working on, so to work with him was an ambition realised. Simon delivered perfect parts for the music - and his communication was first class.

Thank you, Simon - so much.

Simon mixed my song and added upright bass and mandolin to the recording. He is a sympathetic musician with a great ear, playing parts that supported the song. His mixing really brought out the best in my voice and guitar playing and gelled the song together. He was very communicative, as well as being flexible and punctual when working with my feedback. Thanks Simon!
