Oriental Flutes&Clarinet

Shoham Gabay on SoundBetter

I'm a woodwinds performing and recording artist, an expert for ethnic music from across the Middle East. I play traditional instruments such as the Arabic Nay Flute, Turkish Clarinet and Indian Bansuri, and i use the unique oriental playing style on the EWI (electronic wind instrument).

I believe that Middle Eastern spice can fit anywhere, especially in musical taste.

Let me help you choose the right spice for your song or movie soundtrack.

I have about 20 years of playing and teaching music, from studying classical western music, through jazz and world music, to a BA in classical Arabic music at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.

You can pour into my musical track my experience as a live performance player.
I play live shows and recording sessions with Israel's most famous pop singers, participate in productions of both Eastern and Western orchestras, such as the Jerusalem Symphony, performing and recording with senior singers in the Jewish liturgical world in Israel.

Thousands of stage and studio hours while studying in-depth music and Maqam theory, allow me to convey to you the melodies, sounds and smells of countless areas across the East, whether it is Cairo, Istanbul, New Delhi or Jerusalem.

Send me your song or musical piece, with instructions exactly what you want me to record.
There is an option I will play from a music score,
And there is an option that I will compose melodic sentences for you.

Let me take you on a trip in the Middle East ..

Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.
