Loren is our go-to engineer and never fails to crush every mix he’s tasked with. He works fast and is the most professional engineer we’ve worked with to date. Furthermore, he goes above and beyond by giving in depth pre-mix feedback so your final product is the best possible result. He lives and breathes mixing and we’re grateful to have his work on so many of our records!! Love you Loren!

Loren is hands down one of the most talented producers and engineers I have worked with throughout my 20 years in the industry. As an added bonus he is also one of the raddest humans alive.

Couldn't ask for a better producer. Loren was involved from start to finish in getting my bands track 'Emocean' by Famous Exchange. He always seems to know what a song needs. In one year that song received 350K streams on Spotify. This guy is a genius!

Loren mixed and mastered my track "Back to You" and did a phenomenal job at it. I especially appreciated his vocal processing and getting the levels just right to balance background vocals and multilayered harmonies. He has an excellent ear and knew exactlly what I my song needed to make it 'sparkle.' He has this amazing ability to blending of musical intuition and engineering, tracks are mixed with sonic precision but always seem to prioritize the overall feel and cohesion. I would say his mixing is as much of an artform as anything which is exciting to be a part of! I highly recommend!

Interview with Loren Moore

  1. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  2. A: Identifying the artist's creative intention and maximizing that vision towards their sound, the vibe of the song and the artist's brand.

  3. Q: What's your typical work process?

  4. A: For mixing: Timed intervals to retain focus. Big picture first and then work towards the smaller details. Levels, gain staging & balance. Start with the chorus or drop and work downwards. Establish the low-end and lead elements early on to create the foundation of the mix.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: I work a hybrid studio. Hardware is a luxury and makes the workflow easier but it is certainly possible to achieve a high quality commercial record without hardware.

  7. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  8. A: Hip Hop, Pop, Electronic, Dance, Dubstep, House, Trap, Rock, Metal, Acoustic/Ballad

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: Dangerous 2-Bus+, Dangerous Compressor, Dangerous Bax EQ, Dangerous Master, Dangerous Liason, Dangerous Monitor Station, Elysia Xpressor, Empirical Labs Distressor, Millennia NSEQ-2, Apollo x8p

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: Have a direction in mind. Mental health is everything. Make mistakes and follow your intuition.

  13. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  14. A: 15+ years

  15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  16. A: Skrillex, Zomboy, Must Die, Kill The Noise, Space Laces, Empire Of The Sun, Tame Impala

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: Production, mixing, mastering and vocal production are equally requested work i receive from clients. For new beginner or intermediate clients who request mix service I get involved with the production if the sound of the record is still yet to be established but i see the potential.
