I have been producing music for more than 10 years providing an extensive approach to your songs, including professional deep MIDI drum humanizing or live drums triggering, guitar reamping and all you need. I am interested in a good result, so I am ready for as many revisions as needed and usually give 15 business days from first pass.

Be sure to send me 2-3 reference tracks. This is important for understanding your views on the sound of your music.

We have a large set of guitar amps and experience in getting the sound of most of your favorite metal bands.

You can also get high-quality humanization of your MIDI-drums, including live replay with MIDI recording. This will allow you to save all the details of a live performance, groove, natural velocity and use it with the best samples.

We made a cover song into a metal track and Theodor brought my dead mix back to life! Everyone who worked on this song is extremely happy and glad it got the love it deserves. 10/10. Two thumbs up. Will hire again.

Mah boy did it again! This time I threw something I was extremely worried about. That being a 7-minute long song with multiple time signatures and tempo changes. But he struck through and made my song shine bright. Communication was smooth and was quick to fix an updated version of the mix. He's so good at it that my notes for all the demos have gotten smaller. Highly recommend getting your song a punchy mix.

Took one of my older tracks and gave it a new life. Great mix, great master, great communication, highly recommend him! Give him all the cookies!

Great as always. This mix and master was even better than the first. I didn't get a demo as early as last time, but when he took his time to get the mix just right and it was worth the wait.

I used more variety in instruments in this, mainly more synths and he nailed the balance on his first try while adding small stuff like risers, impact and a looping hi-hat which made the already weird disco beat of my chorus even better.

Highly recommend him, 10/10, two thumbs up, best boi!

Great to work with and excellent at mixing and mastering! Works great with both clean and growls for metal! It sounded great on the first demo, then the track got better after giving him some notes and feedback. everything was adjusted to bring the song into life. The quality was top notch on its own and I'm looking forward to work on the next song.

Theodor was great to work with. Excellent communication and overall understanding of the music we were creating.

Every suggestion we had for the drum arrangements we needed help with was executed exactly how we were expecting - highly recommended.

Many thanks to Theodor and Slaughtered Studio. Great job for mixing my four metal bands last 5 years. I got a lot of good reviews about the albums from my listeners

  12. Review by Mike

It is very cool that today there are producers who make the same classic metal sound of the early 2000s. Thank you very much!

  13. Review by Anna

I am a vocalist and it is very important for me how the voice will sound on the final mix. I worked with many sound engineers, but only Theodor showed me how my timbre in a song really can and should sound. We have been cooperating for about 3-4 years, and I hope to continue.

  14. Review by Alexander

Theodor mixed the album Eight of Swords for our band Decadence Dust.
He did guitars reamping and drums sampling along with the mixing.
And we were overhelmed by the results. From the first mixes our songs sound almost perfect. And all little corrections were made fast and very accurate.
It was a pleasure to work with him.

  15. Review by Nikita S.

Theodor was mixing tracks of our band Serpens et Leo.
I want to especially note his producing work with vocal and drum parts, cause he knows how to we must do and prepare our sources anb materials, I think this is very important in dat craft.

  16. Review by Sophi

I worked with Theodor two years ago for my band. We had almost nothing but Midi, GTP, and home-recorded guitars. Ted did a great job and was able to turn these sources into professional sounding songs. I didn' t even know we could sound so good. Thanks :)

  17. Review by Anton

Our work and communication was really perfect! Real Involvement. Real professionalism. Real sound! Theodor was sound engineer that I've been searching for the years.

I had a good experience working with Ted and his Studio to mix my royalty-free music for top-end audio stocks. Great job!

Interview with Theodor Borovski

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: As a child, I was a fan of the German band Accept. And I was very happy to produce one of the projects where the former vocalist of the band David Reece performed lead vocals.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: I was very pleased to collaborate with Mark Kramer, who did the mastering for my mix and expressed gratitude for the good work. It is a great honor for me to receive a high rating from such an experienced and famous producer.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Of course, I choose "in-the-box" when it comes to editing and mixing music. But many analog devices still do not have decent digital counterparts at the stage of creating sound.

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: The most pleasant thing is to hear the final result and see the success of the album after its release

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: Over 10 years working with metal and rock music. It all started with an official cover versions contest of the Swedish band PAIN, for which I recorded and mixed one of the songs by myself. It was very nice to win this competition and get praise from Peter Tagtgren and his band. At that moment, I realized that my job had to be more than just mixing local bands.

  11. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  12. A: Rock, Pop-Rock, all types of Metal, OST, Punk, Electronic

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: One of my strengths is the ability to create exactly the type of sound that the client needs. I have studied many approaches and techniques for mixing classical and modern metal, and I know exactly how to get the right sound.

  15. Q: What's your typical work process?

  16. A: The first important thing is to make my clients give me as much information about their expectations and influences. I spend enough time analysing reference tracks. Next I'm looking for the most suitable reamp solution and the best drum samples. And after that, I can fully engage in editing, mixing, and mastering

  17. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  18. A: Andy Sneap, Jacob Hansen, Daniel Bergstrand, Peter Tagtgren. I grew up listening to their mixes. These talented producers greatly influenced the formation of my own sound and mixing techniques.

  19. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  20. A: Recording, Reamping, Mixing and Mastering. Programming realistic drums with live MIDI-recording by professional drummer.
