Perfectionist results at punk prices. I'll work on your stuff like it's my stuff. And I don't want you to spend ALL of your money making your art. Let's make it work for both of us. I've worked in various production roles for From Indian Lakes, Jennie Lawless, Secret Cities, Loud Sun, Sister Species, and so many DIY artists. Hmu!

I work in Logic. I use Soundtoys, iZotope, Sonarworks, Mastering the Mix, and many other quality third-party plugins which I'd highly recommend. I love contributing sounds and textures to tracks if you're interested. I grew up playing guitar and have been playing for about 18 years now, but synths are my current obsession. And if you're looking for strictly mixing/mastering, my rates are lowww. That said, I'm very down to get in the weeds with you and refine whatever you're working on.

Matty exceeded my expectations 10 times over. His communication and understanding your needs as a client are great. The mix was perfect and the mastering was bombastic.

I worked with Matty on two tracks, both of which were much-improved by his great production ear, guidance, and vibey synthy layering. I'm stoked about how the songs turned out!

Even if it was for a short time we've worked together he created a vibe and a great atmosphere in which i felt super safe and open to share my ideas. I hope we can continue working in the near future.

This chap is so passionate about music. We hit it off instantly and began working on a collaborative project that expanded my scope as a songwriter / hook-seeker. He's got a knack for bangers. Still wondering if there's anything he can't do... I'd trust him to help flesh out a stem of an idea, all the way through to the mastering and promotion. LOVE his work!

Matt has worked on most of my music I have ever released whether it was song structure, creative ideas, added textures/parts, or simply getting a well-engineered recording. He's also mixed and mastered some of my projects and they always turn out great. One of his strengths is taking artists notes with no ego and being easy to work with. He can keep positive energy in any creative disagreement and he always tries to meet you where you are coming from.

Matty is a treat to work with! He mixed my chamber pop septet Sister Species and recorded/mixed/mastered my synth pop trio Betazoid-- two very different projects that he approached with care, precision, and creativity. In both cases I had major time *and* budget constraints, and Matty was both affordable and punctual.

Matty strikes a balance between being fastidious and explorative. He's extremely detail oriented, but also believes in "the vibe". His suggestions were always on point, and aimed toward furthering each project's goals. I'm continuously impressed with everything he touches!

I needed some help with mastering and mixing and was referred to Matty through a friend. Matty and I spent a few hours working together to mix and master some songs. I was very impressed with Matty's playful yet focused attitude that let me learn while drive the process with Matty's guidance. I felt comfortable in other mediums and wanted to bring that to my music and Matty helped me get there. Matty is very friendly, easy to work with and has a great attitude that helped me improve my sound!

I met Matty in Oakland where we became quick friends. We started making music together and giving input on each others songs. He became the first member of my new project / and we would work late into the night on mixes while trading techniques. I knew he had also interned and done some work at Tiny Telephone in SF, as well as some live sound in the Bay. In general he is an extremely well rounded musician and he has a keen ear for clarity. He has direct communication and a work ethic that is a pleasure to be around. He goes with the flow and joy to work with.

Matty is knowledgeable, fast, always curious, and an excellent teacher. I worked with him on a mastering a project that needed to be finished asap. Not only was I able to finish the project quickly, he explained/boiled down the process well enough for a layman like myself to take control of the project myself, which I really appreciated. He is a good ear to bounce ideas off of, too, and so on top of the overall project––detecting issues I hadn't perceived and making recommendations that never intruded on my own vision--that it added depth to my project. I can't recommend him enough!

I have worked with Matt as a co-writer, producer, mixing & mastering engineer, live sound engineer, and performer. He is such a gem to work with in literally all areas. He is non-judgmental, curious & open-minded, and full of excellent ideas. Matt also has a sick range of live instruments at his fingertips (all of which he can play very well) and a tasteful selection of hardware and software. Hire Matt and you will have a solid banger!
