I contacted Brandon to record a rock/metal song for me and in about a week he recorded some awesome vocal tracks for my song. Brandon was very positive and communicated well with me about the song. I am very happy with the final results and most likely will ask him to record more vocals for my songs. I highly recommend Brandon for the vocal parts for your song. Thanks, Brandon

It was just like 1-2-3- Done! Amazing singer and musician, also a very attractive person. I am fully satisfied with this work. I had looked for a rocking voice and I found it, and more - a singer who can put a sole in your song! Best choice for American style rock music, IMHO.
Brandon was great to work with, he turned around everything very quickly and nailed everything on the first run! Will definitely use him again for other projects in the future! Amazing work!
Baumann is a bada$$! He is everything a lead singer should be and then some. Not only is he a killer vocalist, he also brings a charisma and a unique dynamic to his performance.
I've worked with Brandon on so many recordings in the last 10 years. He's an absolute pro who always gives 100%. With an attitude that's second to none and voice that can break the sound barrier, I recommend him as highly as possible!
Brandon was an absolute pleasure to work with. No ego, just talent and good vibes. He adapted quickly to changes and showed zero push back when I made tweaks or suggestions to his performance. Great singer, great attitude, great guy!
Brandon's delivery and emotion are second to none. He is the most versatile singer I've ever worked with. His harmonies really lifted my track to a new level. His work is always delivered at the highest professional level and his performances always exceed expectations.
Great singer and frontman, both in studio and live -he's a total professional. Excellent pitch, time, technique and vocal control. Also you can count on him to be ultra prepared, warmed up, and on time. Brandon is definitely a rare jem of a musician. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a vocal professional.
Interview with Brandon Baumann
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Living in Los Angeles, I'm constantly inspired by the immense pool of talent that I'm surround with, and a part of. Tom Chandler is a wizard producer who has brought some of my most favorite tracks to life. Jacob Bunton has long been on my list of desired collaborators.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Just 5 pieces?!? Well first and foremost, an acoustic guitar, an old school boombox (solar powered), a collection of my favorite albums, a notebook and pens!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been writing, recording, releasing albums and standing on stage singing for nearly 20 years. What once started as a pipe-dream as a teenager has blossomed into a career full of achievements, opportunity and potential, with so much more waiting on the road ahead.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To be honest. And to always give my all and pour every bit of care into your projects like I would my own. It's of the utmost importance to make sure you get more than what you pay for and are wholly satisfied with the end result.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Having been a fan of his for many, many years, I would like to one day work with Jacob Bunton. He is a multi-threat talent and a helluva singer / writer. Dru DeCaro is also on my collaboration goals-list. Ultimately though, any artist that is authentic and filled with passion speaks my language. In a world of chasing trends, being true to one's self is the ultimate advantage.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: If you need drums, Dave Vandigitty is the man with the plan! Top of class and a breeze to work with, highly recommend.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Think about what you are trying to achieve with this session. Not achieve in terms of success, but what emotion are you chasing, how does the song make you feel, and what do you want the end result to communicate to a listener? The more in-tune with what you're after, helps to shape the focus and deliver for your expectations.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm very proud of an album I did with my previous band Diamond Lane, that earned an "artist of the month" spotlight for the entire network of FOX Sports. Hearing songs that I helped write, lyrics that I penned and vocals that I performed, as the soundtrack for NBA, NHL and MLB was a true treat!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: After doing the band thing for a lifetime, I've recently shifted gears and have just released my debut solo album "Manifestation" earlier this year! What a true blessing to continue to put my songs out into the world. I truly am grateful and am very satisfied with this body of work, bar none my most personal and developed yet!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: They ask if I'm flexible to try new ideas and if they can get revisions -- the answer is yes! They ask if I'm willing to have a discussion beforehand to set the tone and expectations. The answer is yes! Like I've said before, I'm flexible and easy to work with. My only goal is to help your song(s) shine as brightly as possible!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception is that it's easy and comes naturally. Nothing rewarding comes without diligence and a true commitment to the work ethic of developing your craft. I am forever a student of the game!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I like to get a feel for what emotion they are trying to evoke from the music. I ask if they are married to their ideas, or if they are flexible to interpretation. Opening the lines of communication provides transparency that most often achieves the best result, because everyone is on the same page.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Versatile and focused. Having a private voice coach since early in my career (and still to this day), I am tenacious and always a student of the game. I believe in improving everyday and putting your all into any given opportunity.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Perspective. Experience. A quick turn-around delivered with professionalism and an aim to serve the song and please the client.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Set the tone, digest the material, react and THEN edit. More often than not, the biggest hurdle is getting out of your own way. Let that initial reaction flow instinctually, then be critical. That's a recipe for capturing honesty.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Focusrite into Logic Pro X with a variety of microphones, guitars and pedals. Whatever it takes to achieve the best possible result!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I bring a fresh vocal perspective to any project. A lifetime of experience and developed skill sets provides me with an opportunity to embrace any new challenge, be is straight up singing, topline development, lyric or song writing, with total confidence in passion and execution.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. We're living in the future over here!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Taking something that's merely an idea swirling in my brain and turning it into a tangible piece of art that has an opportunity to resonate and positively impact someone's life. That right there is powerful stuff!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Serve the song!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock music as a whole, for many years. However, it's the unexpected curveballs that often invoke the most inspired reactionary responses.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Singing and top lining. These are highly refined and continually honed skill sets that I pride myself on delivering at the highest levels.
