Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Working on an Album for Ghost Eyes.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What Key can you sing in.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be open minded but stern. Send reference tracks. If you aren’t happy with an outcome definitely tell your provider.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A few instruments that wouldn’t break.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I’ve been songwriting for 10 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Pop punk / Emo. However, I write all sorts of genres, and nothing is really off the table.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Sean Nelson from Harvey Danger. His voice and song style really speaks to me.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If you want a project to turn out better record a rough draft first. Listen to it a few times throughout the day. Always remember to jot down new ideas. Then Re-record it with the info you wrote down.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Indie / alternative / emo / midwestern emo / pop punk
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I love songwriting, and trying to match styles. I have been a guitar player and bass player for many years, I am also very good with MIDI instruments. My singing is pretty niche whoever I always try my best on every project!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I’d like to send a rough draft. Get opinions. Then send a final. Or repeat until desired product.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: DAW Logic Pro. Mics (a lot of different Shures, Sm7b, Sm58, Sm57). I have a lot of random gear, that helps with specifics.
