John Dopping on SoundBetter

Recording & Mix engineer (both remote and local custom) and musician, part of Arts Council England funded project "Northling" (now signed with Anjunabeats/Reflections) and working for over a decade in the dance music industry, assisting successful touring dance DJs/Producers with ongoing projects. Also a member of & engineer for rock/metal bands.

A life-long fascination with sound led to experiments with recording spanning 20 years, with formal training in Sound Engineering (Advanced Diploma from Spirit Studios, Manchester) for 3 years from 2010. Concurrently, I began working in the dance music industry as a mix engineer and co-producer, as well as continuing to write & release my own works on prestigious labels (Black Hole, Perfecto, Pure Trance, AYRA) with extensive experience as a writer, producer, engineer & performer in Breakbeat, Trance, Psy/Goa, and Drum & Bass.

I began working freelance for Zenhiser releasing sample/loop packs on the commercial market, and writing music for advertising agencies. I run a dedicated studio space for recording with a high-end Natal 6-piece drumkit and PRS guitars & amps, which is also where Northling write & rehearse.
