I will never give five stars unless there people are the best in the world, e.g. Chris Lord Alge. However, Zac is significantly more talented that people with egos much bigger than his. Sadly, I think he will cost a lot more in a years time so I would book him in as soon as possible; irrespective of the conversation rate and bank fees.

I'm so happy to write this review because I had such a positive experience working with Zak. First and foremost, he's a great engineer and my song turned out clean and well balanced. More importantly, Zak is very communicative and does everything in his power to make sure you're happy with the record. I've had engineers in the past who don't take notes well or rush through their work. Not Zak! He is passionate about each song he tackles and respects the musical process. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a mixing engineer for their song.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: my laptop, acoustic guitar, sm7b, PMC Result 6s and Apollo twin interface

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Production is as simple as 'making a beat'
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: what are their goals, what message are they trying to get across with their music, what elements of their song do they really want to stand out, what do they want me to bring to the table

A: I always try to stand out from the norms. I prioritize dynamics and transients over loudness and brightness
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Never force anything to work. Learn WHY before HOW
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Identifying the artist/producers vision and keeping it in mind while I add my own
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I mix and produce Mostly in the box. I have a computer which I actually built myself (I trust it more that way) which is running through my UAD Apollo twin X Quad and out through my PMC result 6 monitors. I have a Mexican Fender Telecaster, a Fender P bass, an upright piano, and more plugins than I'll ever need.

A: Timbaland, Jon Castelli, Iain Kirkpatrick, Sonder, Frank Ocean
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Music production and mixing, sometimes playing guitar or bass
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To make them sound like the best version of themself
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Most common questions are what do I charge and what style am I comfortable with. I tell them my prices and that I can adapt to any style
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't expect to sound like anything other than the best version of yourself
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: either Brent Faiyaz or saba, as they just bring something unique to the table and I listen to their music alot

A: I make it the best version of itself

A: I listen to the artists ideas and try to create a mental image of who they are and what their sound is, then I try to bring out the best in all of it
