I'm a one-stop shop, y'all! With a decade of experience with Artists, (Illenium, Daya, John Legend, Josh Groban) Songwriter/Producers, (Toby Gad, Josh Cumbee) and Labels, (Warner, Sony, CREATE, Armada, AVEX) I can help you take your idea all the way from conception to release!
I've been playing various rock instruments for most of my life, but my music career really started in 2012 when I got a synch placement with Boeing in DC for an instrumental I had produced on my laptop using a trial of FL Studio. I started honing my craft from there on out, going to school for Audio Engineering (CRAS) and graduating in 2014. In 2015, I moved to Los Angeles, CA and began working at a recording studio (Wava Studios / Wavaflow Studios) in Burbank. I worked my way up from an intern to the Head Engineer and Studio Manager, and I was lucky enough to work on a number of projects from new UMG artist signings, to podcasts and phone apps, to live-in-studio performances (Scott Bradlee,) to Marvel and Disney film and TV projects. Shortly thereafter, I answered a job posting to the Grammy-award winning multi-platinum songwriter/producer Toby Gad, with whom I would have the honor of working for until 2019. During that time, I worked uncredited on countless songs in some capacity, largely by recording, editing, and vocal comping/tuning, while writing and producing for unsigned artists on the side. In 2020, I started my label imprint "CRWrecords" as a vehicle to empower small and upcoming artists who haven't had their break yet, where I give artists the access and opportunities that would otherwise be reserved for major label and well-financed artists.

Charles is an absolute joy to work with. I’ve been working with him for over six years now. It’s rare to find someone who has such a diverse skillset, while also being easygoing and kind-hearted. He is timely, considerate, and always takes the time to explain a difficult concept to you in a way that meets you where you are. Charles is not intractable, nor is he opinion-less. He is the perfect mix of someone who has has strong feelings about what makes something good, but will always find a common ground with anyone who sees the world differently. Highly recommended.
Charles is one of the most versatile utility players I have ever seen take the field in the music production space. He's amply capable at producing a band in the studio or hammering out production details ITB, engineering delicate recordings to brutally distorted electric guitars, melodyining a wide variety of vocal types and genre styles.. and all with an overwhelming humility, kindness and effervescent can-do attitude. Charles is the kind of guy who gets the job done right and will not sleep until it is handled with meticulously detail to a level any project would be lucky to have.
