My main focus is to get clients the best Mixes and/or Masters that I have been providing for almost a decade.
Throughout my journey with music and clients I have been focused on EDM and Pop.

The reason why I chose this type of job is that I have always loved making music. Since I was a kid. I love the process and the excitement along the way.

This was my second time working with Jaymee, and it was a blast. Interview with Jaymee Miller

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Your satisfaction is my happiness. :)
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: I think the most common question is how did I decided that this is the area of expertise for me. I tell them it just felt like I was on a right place, doing the right thing.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Usually I ask how they produced the track. Because it is very important to me, what is the client expecting from Mastering or Mixing.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started producing when I was 15 years old. I have been on a path of a artist. But I have realized that mixing music makes me more happy then anything. That is why I have been perfecting my craft for more then 10 years now.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Sweedish House Mafia. Their Ability to make hit records is just stunning.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When you wake up, first thing listen to your song that you did the day before and take notes of things that you don't like. The ear is rested and very sensitive in the morning.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly EDM songs, but I have always loved Pop and Rock music.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I can bring more clarity if needed, or repair and adjust anything that needs it.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I worked with Karen Inder from the US. I had a melody and a few chords and I decided that I need a vocal for this track. She wrote amazing lyrics. Love that song.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: As a producer, I am working bunch of new singles. As a mastering engineer, I am working with one company on a new ad for their new product, so I am making sure that everything is in the right levels and that it sounds right.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes! Alexandra Badoi! Worked with her and she is an amazing professional singer and wonderful person.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Nowadays, Plugins are almost merging sound-wise with analog, but when it comes to compression, I like to use an analog Warm Audio WA-2A Optic Compressor. Especially for the vocals.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That Mastering is just making things louder. There is so much more to mastering then people usually think.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: To find a person who lives for the music. That way you know, you’ll get the best result. Speaking from experience.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Melodic. Every time I play some new songs to my friends, they always say: I can recognize that it is yours, because of those melodies.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Analyzing. After many years in music production, I can easily hear what needs to be done.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: When I hear the track for the first time, and I already now what to do in that very moment. It is a fuel for my soul.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Live instruments like a guitar, piano, Mac, Audio Interface.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When the client sends me his/her track, I will listen to it very carefully. It is very important for me to understand where that particular client wants to go with his song. And I move from there.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a brand new studio with Focals Trio 6BE together with UAD Apollo x6
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Sweedish House Mafia, Deadmau5, and many more.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Usually Mastering. Clients want the song to have more dynamics or for it to be louder by record labels standards.
