I’m a multi-platinum and grammy awarded mix-engineer/producer. I have the pleasure of working with some of the most successful international artists including NEIKED, Rudimental, Sandro Cavazza, Zara Larsson etc. My main clients include the major record labels such as Universal Music, Sony Music, EMI Music as well as their sub-labels and others.
Being a producer at heart, I’ve also developed a passion for mixing, always in search for the perfect mix for each song I work on. This has led me to focus primarily on mixing over the past ten years. Helping my fellow musicians make their songs sound the very best they can has become a great passion of mine. I will always do my absolute best to make every song I work on sound like a world class radio-ready mix every time.
My simple philosophy is that vibe is the most important aspect of a mix. And I take the utmost care to maintain, re-create or find the vibe in a rough-mix while sculpting it into a focused, exciting and compelling mix ready for international radio play and streaming.
I mix through a hybrid software/hardware setup. This way I get the best of both analog and software while maintaining quick and easy recalls of my mixes.
I work with stem mixing/mastering of just a couple of stems, to full multi track mixes, and prices vary thereafter. I will listen to your rough mix and have a dialogue with you about which approach is best on a per song basis.

Thanks for the great work Adel - really happy with the result and would work with again. Great attention to detail, no doubt there. Cheers!

I hired Adel for a stem mastering project. I'm super happy with the result -- better overall spectral balance, more clarity and separation, a more consistent low-end, a cleaner vocal, and competitive loudness without sounding distorted. All that you want from mastering, and more! He also generously gave me a walkthrough of what he'd done, which gave me lots of insights into how to improve my own work. Highly recommend!

Adel is amazing! It was such a treat working with him and I was literally floored with the fantastic mix he delivered for my song!
He has great creative ideas and pays a lot of attention to details that lift your song. He also manages to maintain the vibe of a song while delivering a technically perfect sounding mix.
Adel is a world-class mixing engineer and an overall super nice guy to work with. I will definitely work with Adel again. Highly recommended!

Adel is simply great to work with. He takes time to really listen to the material. Dialogue was easy and Adel was both creative and still sensitive to my wishes. It was fun to work with Adel. He really helped take the song to a new level, solve som unconventional issues and put a brighter light on the best parts of the material. I will definetly work with him again.

Excellent!!! True professional and with a lot of patience for us to get the mix were we wanted it! The Best!
Adel has been my "go to guy" for years now. You can always count on him to go the extra mile to take your track to the next level. Being a smaller independent producer and label manager I find this is not always the case with everyone. Him having a producer and songwriting background also makes it really easy for me in communicating where I'm trying to go with a production. A true secret weapon!

Adel is by far my favorite mixing engineer.
Super easy to work with and always delivers great sounding results. That's why I've used him on songs like "high with somebody" (Sandro Cavazza & P3GI-13) and "Takes Two" (Shylde). If you choose to work with Adel it will make your life so much easier. As a music publisher I’ve used Adel Dahdal’s services on multiple occasions for some 15 years now. Adel is not just the most technically accomplished mixer but also has a deep understanding of both the artist and song writer side of the mix process as well as the music business side and somehow always manages to satisfy everyone’s interest. I’ve worked with Adel on everything from mixing demos by new signings to #1 radio and streaming songs. Adel also serves as a highly valued mentor on our mentorship programme for female producers. I can’t recommend him enough.

Great mixer and producer!
He will always get the best out of the song. And have the technical and creative skills to make your track stand out. He’ a multi musician and not just a mix engineer. He really understand music and what you need to do to make the song stronger and off corse sound great.
Two thumbs up!!I would highly recommend Adel Dahdal's services!
Adel always brings his signature approach to his work: ultra‑clear, ultra‑tight and World class mixes.
Always professional, responsive and open to feedback!
Interview with Adel Dahdal
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. For different things. The recallability with digital is a must these days as recalling analog is too time consuming for modern mixing processes. On the other hand it can be quicker to reach a certain sound with analog. Especially in the recording stages. When mixing, I use analog processing as a “flavour” on the mix bus and on other tracks and buses sometimes. Not because it’s better necessarily, just a different sound that I may not be able to get "in the box" at the time. For me, one is not better than the other, just different, and a great mix can be accomplished with just digital, just analog or any combination of both.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Not everybody understands that mixing is very much part of the production process and therefore communication between the producer and the mixing engineer is an integral part of the mixing-process.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your vision and what is the vibe we should be aiming for with your song? Do you have specific artists or songs in mind as references and inspiration for the mix? What should I feel when I listen to the song?
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Getting to work with so many talented artist is a true blessing. And mixing is such a rewarding process - it’s like a new little puzzle to solve with every song so it never gets boring either. I can honestly say that I have fun every day doing this.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Great results are often a team effort, so make sure you surround yourself with others who excel at their role in the process.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started off as recording engineer at a music publishing companys studio, recording demos for prospective artists. Then I basically went from there to professional producer, and for the past ten years I'm also/mostly a professional mixing engineer.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mainly contemporary pop music across all sub-genres. But I also mix everything from jazz to rock and singer songwriter tracks.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I think it’s my ability to balance vibe with the technical aspects of an accomplished, radio ready and professional sounding mix.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Dedication and experience. Both as a mixing engineer and as a producer/musician.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: If one is provided,I like to start with listening to the rough mix for a couple of times. Then I’ll ask the client about their vision of the mix and if they have any reference tracks from other artists that I should keep in mind while working on their song. When I feel that I fully understand the clients vision and needs, I will get to work. And once I have a mix that I think is getting very close to what the client wants I will send it out to them for feedback and start the revision process. And I will work until everyone involved are absolutely amazed by the results.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Working in a digital/analog hybrid setup, I have a professionally, acoustically treated studio that I’ve had the fortune to design from the ground up together with professionals studio designers/acousticians. The studio is based around Antelope Audio converters and clocking for pristine AD/DA conversion, which gives me great detail when monitoring and going through outboard gear, as well as when going back in to the box. I’ve been a Logic user for more than 20 years and love how it’s become an extension of my mind so I don’t consciously need to think about what I’m doing, it just happens intuitively and I can focus on listening to what I’m working on. For the same reason I also use controllers to control the mixer and plugins in Logic so I can mix with my ears and be less distracted by mousing around on the screen.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: There are many, but to mention a few, Manny Marroquin, Tony Maserati and Jaycen Joshua are very inspiring mixing engineers. Regarding producers and artists in general, there are so many good ones out there. So I would say most artists/producers who dedicate themselves fully to music are a big inspiration - regardless if they are super successful or not.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mainly mixing, but also mastering and sometimes additional production to help nail the song and mix. Usually I work across a wide range of genres but my most prominent credits and awards are in the wider contemporary pop-genre including electronic, dance, singer songwriter, indie and many other sub-styles.
