If you have a song or record you are doing, and want to add great sounding acoustic percussion (including two mic drum parts) I am the man.
Reaching the exact groove and sounds for a song is my main focus.
Here are some ideas and ways in which we can work together:
*I can record the perc part you´ve written for your song on different instruments so you decide which way you want to go, to keep your record interesting.
*We can create a perc part together, exchanging ideas and views on the way it should go.
*You can send me the exact chart and I record it in the instrument you´ve chosen.
*You can send me the vocals and guitar (or other instruments) and ask me to come up with something new for the song.
*A different approach from the ones above, as long as we agree on it beforehand.
*The amount of tracks can go from one to infinite, but the fee might change.
My undergraduate music studies were at Berklee College of Music, and tons of private teachers on the different instruments.
As a percussionist and drummer I´ve worked in so many different environments that I feel versatility is one of my "specialties". I´ve played in football stadiums, jazz bars, big music arenas, house concerts, etc.

Interview with Facundo Flores
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I know Andrés Mayo, a great sound engineer, you will never regret mastering your tracks with him.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing drums at age 14, since then I haven´t stop adding sounds and ideas into my playing.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I think Sufjan Stevens, he is always avoiding the comfort zones.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: It is not about doing what you know, but what the music needs from you.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Folk songwriter music. World fusion. Film tracks.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Listening and playing what is REALLY necessary and makes the song even greater.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Acoustic vibes, sensitivity, originality, natural flow to its groove.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I first listen to the song with eyes closed and imagine the environment where it takes me: a lake shore? mountains? a busy city? Then try to identify which sounds represent best those places the song took me. And then I try to find the main rhythm or groove it has. Then I ask myself: Does it need to be explicit? or hidden? How main different sounds will make it work?
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I record in small soundproofed room that sounds excellent. With a vintage 414 mic, a Mohave valvular, and a SM57. Plugged to a stereo Class A preamplifier.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My main inspirations have to do with the composers and not so much with the musician performing the percussive parts itself, although I could name a few. Fleet Foxes, Beach Boys, Devendra Banhart, Jose Gonzalez, Leonard Cohen, Joanna Newsom, Salif Keita, Animal Collective, Bob Dylan, Brian Eno, Nick Drake, Dirty Projectors, Ennio Morricone, Bernard Herrmann, etc...etc...etc...
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I am usually hired by Songwriters and bands for composing and recording percussion or drum parts for their songs. Sometimes I have complete freedom in including sounds and ideas, and sometimes my role is to recreate the composer´s precise idea. Doing soundscapes for films and other visual platforms is another very common request I have.
