I’m a 10-year studio veteran with engineering credits ranging from upstart indie artists to A-list talent. My higher profile projects include work with TOTO, Alex Van Halen, Steve Lucather (Michael Jackson, Ringo Starr) and Steve Porcaro (Michael Jackson, TOTO). I specialize in engineering, mixing and mastering for modern pop and electronica.

Quality mixes demand a level of musicality that matches the source material they are crafted from. A good mix breathes life into a song, highlighting the interplay of elements as much as integrating them, improving the dynamics of the song rather than eroding them.

I worked in my first recording studio at 18 while studying free jazz in Berkeley, cutting my first record at Fantasy Studios 2 years later. With time I noticed how certain computer programs like Pro Tools, Native Instruments Reaktor, even visual studios like Adobe After Effects supported the same depth of performance that I'd grown accustomed to on any physical instrument I'd played. The only difference I noticed was the time people invested into mastering these tools.

As such, I take pride in being a true computer musician, a technical title as much as an artistic one. My standards are informed by the best in the field—not just those with the best equipment or budget, but those with the clearest vision of how their music works. My work gives me a window into how others view the world, and I'm grateful for the chances I've had to explore others’ music.
