Eastbound Mixed and mastered two 10 track albums that I couldn’t be happier with. He takes the time to get things right because he wants to. Not for a check. Highly highly recommend.

Eestbound once again, delivered such an amazing mix & master. My vision for how I wanted the song to turn out became a reality! Eestbound listened to things I wanted to change whilst also giving his professional input. For sure connecting him again!

Eastbound was incredible for mixing and mastering my remix. He's very talented. The mix was clean, the kicks were thumpy, he managed to properly EQ the track so the bass guitar and 808s didn't clash somehow, and he even added a few "texture" elements. I'd love to work with him again!

Highly professional and great at what he does. Mixed & mastered an entire EP for me and took the sonics to a new level. Huge difference between previous mixes and releases, and even added some valuable input on places where he thought improvements could be made on the production. Very satisfied.

Interview with Eestbound
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! They both have their strengths and weaknesses. Knowing how & WHEN to use one or the other is key.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love being able to sculpt sonics & manipulate sounds. There's something about tweaking knobs and hearing results that's just unbeatable.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I like to know as much as possible without sounding like an FBI agent. The more I know about the record and about the vision for it, the more efficient the process will be.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Communication solves everything.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My Apollo x8, Neve Shelford Channel, API5500, Neve Portico II MBP & TC Electronic 1210
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Warm, punchy, wide, expensive, unique.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd love to work with PartyNextDoor, his music has lots of character & vibe.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: You need to have fun with it! Most importantly though, the song has to move you or make you feel a certain way.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Usually Hip-hop & RnB. However, I have worked on all kinds of genres and I love all kinds of music!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'd say my ear & decision making during mixing.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I like to make things sound clean & expensive but with some grid too! I want to make sure the song is addicting & sounds good on ANY system.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to listen to the song and get familiar with the feeling/energy. Communication with the client is very important to make sure I start off on the right page in terms of approach to the mix. When I start mixing I work on the most exciting part first and make sure it has weight, then I build around that. Once everything sounds solid I like to add ear candy which makes the song stand out sonically & gives it replay value!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run a hybrid setup (analog & digital). Best of both worlds! I use the Universal Audio Apollo X8 as the heart of my studio & I have all my outboard gear routed through there. I use Genelec's as my monitors to ensure I can hear everything that's going on in the mix.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My biggest inspiration is Jaycen Joshua. I love his techniques & ways he approaches his work.
