Bruce Soord on SoundBetter

Specialist in 5.1 and stereo mixing and production, mainly in rock, acoustic and the progressive rock genres.

I run Soord Studios where I specialise in mixing all kinds of rock music, from soft acoustic through to metal. I also mix for high resolution audiophile releases in stereo and 5.1 surround as well as providing authoring services for DVD. I have worked on many albums including Opeth, Katatonia, Tesseract, Blackfield, Tim Bowness, Gong. Riverside.... I am probably best known as the front man and songwriter for the band The Pineapple Thief which I also mixed. You can check out our most recent album 'Your Wilderness' on most streaming services.

For real. I listen to a lot of progressive rock music, and when mixing is great on an album, it's either Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) ... or Bruce Soord.
