I'm a music producer that is drawn to ominous, cinematic, and dynamic music. I write, arrange, record, and produce for RxGF which showcases a wide spectrum of my capabilities. I often co-produce with Jonathan Plum primarily at London Bridge and Calyptra Studios, but for projects in London, UK I've made SessionCorner one of my bases. Let's talk!
I offer a wide variety of services, but most of my referrals come from past clients who have benefitted from my work with writing and performing on melodies, counter melodies, and with composition/arrangement. I'm a multi-instrumentalist and I have an arsenal of musical talent that I draw from. I'm a 3-time AIMA award recipient and Grammy-Nominated voting Member of NARAS.
My Style:
I have a very focused, connected, and organic style of working with artists and I put my relationship building skills to work to earn trust with all parties to connect at the lyrical, musical, and personal level for every work. I partner with A-list engineers in several cities (please enquire) who take care of tactical execution while I focus on sculpting the overall sound. I work very well with artists who are specifically looking for me to craft and shape a salient musical statement from their unique presence and message.
For larger projects please see my Terms of Service. If you're interested in Videography, Publishing, Marketing, and PR, I'm happy to consult and have separate services and terms.

Endorse John Morgan Reilly (RxGF)Interview with John Morgan Reilly (RxGF)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: musician > songwriter > producer . 15 years.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: RxGF
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Most people want me to be a magician, transforming them into something they could never really be.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Why are you doing what you do? What keeps you up at night?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: When choosing a producer, determine whether or not you want/need an explorer or a champion.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: well none of it would be electronic because it's a desert island.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I project your originality and personality, never ceasing to ask "what if".
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Mark Lanegan. I've written so many songs that are wonderfully perfect for his voice-- medium to slow tempo tunes that bridges american roots with european avant garde.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: soundtrack, electronic, indie, americana, avant garde
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Writing/arranging endless hooks and variations for any given song theme.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring "out" the artist's unique thumbprint onto the song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I begin with bands by first understanding what they sound like both live and in rehearsal. For solo artists, vocalists, or session players I work 1:1 to understand their approach to the song and fit the content with the context that is most meaningful for each artist.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Daniel Lanois, Thomas Dolby, Roy Thomas Baker, DJ Shadow, KJ Sawka, AriSawkaDoria, Critters Buggin', Massive Attack, VNV Nation
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Vocals, vocal arrangements, writing, arranging, producer specializing in bringing out the uniqueness of an artist
