Tim Johnson, working under the name Cinematic Mixing, has become a trusted collaborator for many composers seeking expansive, emotionally charged mixes that bridge orchestral, rock, ambient, and hybrid sound design.

Tim’s work has been featured across major international networks and streaming platforms. His documentary credits range from the light-hearted intimacy of the BBC’s Animals at Play to the epic orchestral scale of The Elephant & The Termite and Once Upon a Time in Tsavo, each showcasing his ability to capture every emotional nuance of a composer’s intention. A long-standing collaborator with Guy Michelmore, Tim continues to mix a wide range of his film and television scores, most recently producing the OST for the acclaimed animated series Badjelly.

A popular choice among production music composers, he has mixed hundreds of tracks for leading libraries such as Evolution Media Music, Motus Music, and Gothic Storm, and has mixed projects featuring renowned artists including Tina Guo, Julie Elven, Clara Sorace, Rusanda Panfili, and Mia Asano.
