Effortlessly crafting melodies, hooks & vibes for your pop record.
Songwriter/producer/vocalist passionate about melody and the craft of the song.
I have credits with Warner Chappell music, LoudKult records, Soave Records, along with artists like Michelle Ray, Nander, and Sam Harding.
I love modern pop production as much as the next person, but a great song will shine on its own without the frills of killer production. That's where I come in. I'll help you write a song that'll turn heads, that will stand out, that will effectively express what you're feeling.
As a producer, I'll craft a vibe that's fresh and current.
It's important to me that you are as clear as possible when inviting me to a job, so in turn I can give you the most accurate proposal. Please be sure to specify the number of tracks you're looking for, the timeline you desire, and whether you're looking for songwriting, producing, or vocals. I take on all projects in pop, alternative/rock, singer/songwriter, and hip hop, as those areas are my specialty. I don't specialize in classical, latin, reggaeton, and anything that requires full band tracking sessions.
At the end of the day, we'll spend a lot of time together making sure your voice and your passion is amplified above all else. No one is you and that is your superpower. Let's make something great together!

Eric is an incredibly talented producer, songwriter, and collaborator. He had so many amazing ideas for this song that I have been sitting on for years and immediately brought it to life. It feels perfectly suited to the itention behind the lyrics and the melody and emotion behind the words feel so right I can't thank him enough. Interview with Eric Lee Carpenter
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on a ton of songs for sync licensing at the moment. I also have an original artist project in the works.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Bailey Jehl. She's a mesmerizing vocalist and super easy to work with.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: All digital. The sounds are great and keeps me efficient in my work flow.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'll get it right, no matter how long it takes.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I feel like there's this feeling that the world gets to hear most of what I create. In reality, the world probably hears about 10% of what I create. You have to create bad art to get to the good art.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What story are we going to tell?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Assuming this island has power haha! Laptop, microphone, MIDI controller, XLR cables, acoustic guitar.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Minimal
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Kanye West, simply for the stories that would emerge from that session haha!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't wait for inspiration to start working. Inspiration is fleeting and often doesn't come until you show up ready to work.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Normally commercial pop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Melody!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Grind, energy, enthusiasm, melody, and vibe.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a home studio in Chicago with professional gear. I use a Logic Pro X for production. For vocals I have a Neumann TL-103 microphone with an Apollo Twin interface.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Ed Sheeran - his philosophy on songwriting changed my life. He says "no matter how shitty your song is, you have to finish it. Because if you don't, some of the shitty content will make its way into your great content." Rick Rubin - I absolutely love his work, and his process I love even more. He coined the phrase 'Reduced by Rick Rubin." He's a producer that strips all inessential elements away from a record so that the true essence is revealed. It's really inspiring.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most commonly I'm aiding in the crafting of melody and lyrics. After that, I'm producing.
