What's your typical work process?
First I imports the files into my DAW (REAPER), cleans up the edits, tunes the vocals, quantizes and replaces/adds drum samples where necessary. When the song is all in time and in tune. In a band mixing - I will start with the drums. The drums need to sound amazing. Then I mix in the bass, followed by guitars. I have a good library of samples and loops (Cinesamples, Spitfire, East West etc.), and I can add to my taste. In the end I go to vocal, background vocals and ambients.
